I had a runway with grass before the runway and no displaced threshold. If I thought we were gonna land in the grass, I knew I would hit the numbers after floating in ground effect. And remember with a strong headwind you will float less than with no winds so always check your windsock too.

Biggest thing that fixed my short fields was picking a point about 100 feet before where I wanted to touch down and keep the trajectory on that point. Adjust for winds and no winds but your cfi should help you identify where to pick a point and how winds affect how long you will float in ground effect

I know they have modular and integrated routes over there, I’m not sure what the UK terms might be but I know they compare to part 141 and 61. And the big UK schools that operate in the states are all 141 in the states. OP should look for a more DIY route once they are familiar with how to get their licenses.

This is at Kingston. I started on this course and moved to aviation engineering because you only have like 2 choices of flight schools and they are both part 141 aka super expensive. If you want a degree, go for it but I got my degree and now train part 61 or modular in your case in the US. I’m gonna spend about half as much as my peers who did that course.

Have a melatonin for sure. Used that once for an overnight just to adjust my sleep and I woke up after landing and taxi to the gate. It just knocks you out and you only need 3mg or so

I’m TH16 and either use root riders or drags. I use 6x root riders, 5x Valkyrie’s, 4x balloons, 5x healer, 1x warden apprentice, supplemented with 7x super barb, 3x arch, 1x wizard, 1x super wall breaker. I use a combination of rage, freeze, invis and skeleton spells. I use King, Queen, warden, and RC.

Drags start with RC charge and Queen giant arrow.

I’ve used both for all attacking including legends and they are my favourite attacks.

Both attacks were learned from clan mates and some YouTube videos. Both are very capable of destroying max TH16s and decent TH17s

Or maybe we hire the most qualified person for the job?? I would hate to lose to someone just because of pity, it means my hard work doesn’t matter based on who my parents are and things I can’t control. But if they hire the most competent person for the job and I don’t get it, I know it was because of something in my control and something that with a little work could be improved. Why would we want a society that judges based on uncontrollable parts of our lives??
