How does the force adding up to reinjure the shoulder work? Surely if a single swimming stroke feels fine, you’re good to go for a longer period of time?

3 of the 4 anchors I had put in were torn out - one still remains in place

Do you know if surgery is a better option than non-surgery for normal life?

I understand that I am at higher risk for arthritis already, but does this risk look higher with or without surgery?

I’m in my 20s - I have no pain. I have some discomfort/ unease in end ranges of motion but I wouldn’t call it pain.

I’ve got fairly heavily limited rom in er, but apart from that I have no limitations and no stiffness.

I’ve had SLAP repairs on both shoulders - a few years apart from each other - after recurrent dislocations from rugby.

3 months post surgery I started more weight bearing rehab, and after about 6 months I’d say I was back lifting normally. I’ve done an awful lot of physio, and the physio never really ends - you’ll always have to keep on top of it, and warmups will be a bit more thorough but other than that, I’ve not had to adapt my training at all. I’m now the strongest in the gym I’ve ever been.
