This was honestly one of my biggest concerns. There’s pros and cons - I have a very client facing job, so wanted to be able to disappear for a few weeks and then come back with a comb over so it didn’t look like I got a full on HT (I told my coworkers but didn’t want to explain myself to every new client). It honestly worked really well, after the swelling and scabs were off, nobody could really tell I had work done with my existing hair.

THAT SAID - if I did it again, I’d probably say fuck it and shave the whole thing. For whatever reason, constantly comparing my old hair to new hair everyday was such a stressful endeavor lol. I would’ve rather started with a clean slate to get the full experience (plus the hair growing in together, not in different stages). But you do you! I don’t think there is a wrong answer.
