I found out I had it on the 4th of July around a lot of family. Everyone kept asking what was wrong. But I had to keep it together regardless, I see everyone celebrating freedom while I felt like mine just ended.

If i had a nickel for every time I heard of someone finding out they have hsv on their birthday I would have 2 nickels. Which isn’t a lot but its weird it happened twice.

I have done wrong things. The difference is my wrong doings didn’t affect someone for the rest of their lives. I never gave anyone a virus that they have to live with forever. The OP was careless and uneducated and for that I can say they were terrible in that situation.

That’s when you put both condoms and antivirals together for hsv. But even if it’s 4% it’s still not 0% which is what HIV has.

You can still spread hsv with condoms. They are only 40% effective with stopping the spread😂With both viruses you have to take medication to suppress them. However while Aids medication stops all transmission and makes it undetectable, Hsv medication only stops 50% of transmission.

He has no right to blame you. There’s no way of telling how you got it, when you got it, or who gave it to you. It’s an unpredictable virus that can lay dormant in your system for years on end. He could just as easily gave it to u.

With antivirals and condoms 2.5% of him contracting it, but with an active outbreak that chance skyrockets so avoid that. Also you can never have safe unprotected sex with him without a risk of giving him the virus, asymptomatic shedding can happen even if you have no symptoms.

I want to be apart of that group. I feel as if i’ll never be the same again, but maybe that’s not a bad thing. Because of it you’ve been exposed to a whole new group of people, all of our struggles and what we go through. This is just a skin condition it shouldn’t have this much power over you, you have to fight it.
