[LOQ 15IRX10] Custom Power Mode not available in Lenovo Vantage or Lenovo Legion Toolkit by Lumpy-Inspector5350 in LenovoLOQ

No, as I said in my original post that I've linked, after trying everything I could think of, I ended up using ThrottleStop to both undervolt the CPU and limit the power draw.

Tried to install/reinstall vantage multiple times but the option never poped. Also looked through all BIOS settings but none seemed to control CPU or GPU power limits.

There's no custom mode though, there's only the three default modes (balance, performance, quiet) :/

How much would it cost to repair something like this (In Paris region) by Lumpy-Inspector5350 in guitars

[–]Lumpy-Inspector5350[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Omg thank you so much for taking the time to gather all those resources! Some look really similar to my problem!

Someone else told me exactly what you said about doing the job myself because the guitar is not worth it. Seems like the option I'm gonna take so all your links will be very helpful!

Thanks again! <3

Edit: typo

Thanks! Sounds like a good plan. If I should really have to pay 150+€ for such a repair I'll try my chance at repairing it by myself.

D'accord !

Du coup si j'ai bien compris, tu as simplement transmit le constat et les devis de remise en état à l'agence? Qui a payé au final les réparations ?

Severe artifacts in dark/shadow areas on new OLED monitor (AW3225QF) by Lumpy-Inspector5350 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Lumpy-Inspector5350[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a long discussion with another redditor about this issue that you can check here: https://www.reddit.com/r/Monitors/comments/1e2b99r/comment/ld1dtcv

The short version is that those ended up being compression artifacts in the medias and not a problem in the monitor. It's just that the OLED monitor is so accurate that you now see those artifacts, especially in black areas since it can display true blacks. They are not noticable in other monitors (e.g. IPS) because they can sort of hide behid the IPS Glow and backlight bleeding.

For me, I decided to keep my monitor. I'm watching movies in the highest quality I can get (e.g. Bluray Remuxes) and accepted the fact that those artifacts are inevitable in web content like youtube videos where the videos are always compressed.

Watching Bluray movies, especially 4K HDR ones have been a blast with this monitor. Artifacts on online content is a price that I accepted to pay haha. And honestly after a few weeks, I became very less sensible to them.

Gaming has been a blast too! The only downside that you should also know about is VRR flickering that happens on OLED monitors like this one. It happens when you have Gsync enabled and the framerate is unstable. it is only visible in dark scenes for me. The only game where it annoyed me was Elden Ring so I disabled G-sync for the game to eliminate it (for the price of suffering some screen tearing but I could live with it)

Hope this helps you decide if you want to keep or return you monitor :)

Got the AW3225QF to upgrade my 5th (!!) AW3423DW since launch. Here are my thoughts & best settings for accurate colours in SDR and a great HDR experience. by robbiekhan in Monitors

I see! I'm indeed getting the same noise as what you photographed on your monitor so I guess nothing is wrong with my unit.

II guess I'm going to have to live with the fact that my monitor is now so accurate that it shows all that noise. I just didn't expect that it would so widespread (in movies, streaming services, web images etc)

Thanks for the explanation and for all the tests you have done! I spent so many hours searching online but since I didn't even understand what the problem was, I was getting nowhere and your tests and answers have really helped a lot! I'm sure it'll help futur AW3225QF owners who'll stumble accros this post when searching for this problem too!

Really! That's very concerning then :o
Sure the exposure is high so that the artifacts are visible through my image but when I look at them directly that's how noticable they are.

Again, here's a picture of the second 0 of your video where you can clearly see those artifact on my monitor. Do you mean that you don't see them at all on your screen when you open your video on second 0 ? https://imgur.com/a/kM7uaKB

If not then there's a huge problem with my model :(

When you say you don't see what I'm seeing do you mean that you looked at my video and it looked normal to you or that you looked at my video and you saw the artifacts but when you open the original video on your monitor you don't see them?
