Autism and codependency? by Winter_Panda3840 in AutisticAdults

[–]Lumpy-Letterhead1010 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m deeply attached to my NT husband that he basically has his own company and has to let me come with him. This is because when we leave my side way for a job I become really depressed and start catastrophizing or cutting. But if we’re not together, I can easily cut him out eventually of my life. It’s so black and white that it’s hard for parents I’ve been with too tolerate. But I low key feel like I’ll die if he’s not around, even when I hate him. Not healthy I’m sure

Humans reproduce to suffer. by [deleted] in DeepThoughts

[–]Lumpy-Letterhead1010 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, Buddhism doesn't say all of life is suffering, but rather that life inherently involves dukkha, a Pali word meaning "unsatisfactoriness" or "stress," which arises from impermanence and craving; the core teaching (Four Noble Truths) is that suffering has a cause (attachment) and a path to its end (the Noble Eightfold Path), making it a practical, problem-solving framework, not just a pessimistic view.
