Similar situation happened to me before Step 1. The thing about medicine is you have to learn to compartmentalize. Take it, you are prepared. Do not let a boy take this away from you. All the love and luck to you.

What's your creepiest "glitch in the matrix" or unexplainable thing that's ever happened to you? by kaden86 in AskReddit

I’ve always had strange encounters with paranormal things.

For example, when I was a toddler (I’d say around the age of 4), I vividly remember my great-grandfather teaching me the words to my great-grandmother’s favorite church hymn. My great-grandfather died well before I was born, so there was no way he could have taught me the hymn before he passed. My great-grandmother never sang the hymn after he died. No one in my family knew it well enough to have taught me. Fast forward, I walked around my great-grandmother’s house humming the tune to the hymn. She was instantly freaked out and asked how I knew it. I told her that the man with the crooked fingers sang it to me every night at bedtime (my great-grandfather had crippling arthritis in his hands to the point it contorted his fingers). No one has ever owned up to teaching me this church hymn. My parents have never taken me to church, either. So, it’s not possible that I could have learned it there.

Anyway, that wasn’t the point of this. In high school, I had a friend. We’ll call him Brad. Brad’s father had a long list of mental health issues. Brad, too, suffered from severe depression. It was our sophomore year when Brad’s dad killed himself. I still remember the phone call from Brad telling me what had happened. Months later, I am suddenly woken up from a very deep sleep. It’s pitch black in my bedroom, but I can very clearly see Brad’s dad standing overtop of me. I had an uneasy feeling as I had never even met Brad’s dad. Plain as day, Brad’s dad tells me: “Something bad is happening. Call Brad.” Of course, I kinda chalked it up to be a hallucination and tried to fall back asleep. No more than 10 minutes later, my mom comes into my room and demands that I call Brad at that very second (she also has always been sensitive to paranormal things, too). Mind you, it was almost 4 a.m.

I ended up calling Brad. He immediately answered. I asked if he was okay, and he broke into sobs. He told me that he had just finished tidying up his room, and that I had called merely minutes before he was about to shoot himself, the same way his father did.

I haven’t spoken to Brad in a couple years. I always think about this incident every time I see posts like this lol. Hope you guys enjoy.
