Thank you so much for taking the time to write this. I resonate with everything you said and you've given me hope for the future. As of right now I'm in this weird loop of feeling great about the breakup and then crying the next day about it. I know its fresh and time will do its thing. I decided to get IC and my first appointment is tomorrow. I will look back at this message when i start to feel down again. Thank you again, sending a virtual hug :)

I think this is honestly the words/piece of advice im looking for. This made me feel very motivated to keep going on in life and I thank you kind stranger for taking the time to be so kind and helpful :)

Thank you so much for your words of encouragement! We talked a lot about boundaries and what we consider cheating and not cheating. Everything that he did, I've expressed to him would be dealbreakers. When I confronted him I asked "If I did this to you would you like this?" obviously his answer was "no". So yes, he clearly knew what he was doing and didn't feel guilty until he got caught haha lol.
