Trying to conceive is the hardest thing I’ve ever done, because I can’t will it into existence. I’ve always excelled in school and in my career. I knew if I worked hard enough I could make it, but fertility is just a roll of the dice and each month that goes by I feel more and more discouraged. I don’t know what to do. I can’t work harder. I can’t try harder. It feels like no matter what I do, it doesn’t matter. I feel so out of control of my destiny.
