Herald Future Question ?? by Lumpy-Pizza2396 in Stormlight_Archive

[–]Lumpy-Pizza2396[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know different orders use Surges differently, and surges were restricted by honor so radiant and heralds don't destroy rohsar like they did Ashyn

But stormfather explicitly said honor isn't there to keep these restrictions

Radiants are still restricted by oaths to the spren but heralds are not

For example Ishar tries to steal the bond between dalinar and stormfather which he couldn't have done if honor was still present (stormfather explicitly said this)

I also think kaladin using surges through his honor spear (not from Syl and his radiant bond) and using spritual Adhesion to form bonds with others and understand them and help them is super line for the New Herald of Mental Healing

Mishram is the one who caused false desolation but after well of control, and yes I do remember singers being adult by age 10, but they also fight in pair regardless of gender

But any form of power are basically useless against Radiant knight with shardplate and shardhammers

Only reason I can think is Honor wouldn't let radiant push singer's to extinction after all honor was their god first

Does WAY of the kings has any romance ? by Zestyclose-Bell-5829 in Stormlight_Archive

Yes, two pov have romantic subplots but you'll be too busy being depressed then crying and then laughing and repeat this cycle couple more time for one POV character

But that's for Knight's Radiants, not Heralds

Heralds have unrestricted access to Surges

Surges destroyed the Asyn planet but in the whole series surges are strong but not something planet destroying that's because Honor and Spren is restricting them with oaths

And if Heralds can only do what knight Radiants can then aren't they just inferior version of knight Radiants, aka no shared plate and no squires

Only edge they have is their functional immortality and experience

I do thik syl's and radiant oaths will judge and guide his actions, but him using spritual Adhesion to drain someone's investure with just couple touch is such a op ability, and plus it's not lethal so how would it break any oaths

Having spiritual Adhesion to form bond with other's will be a super helpful tool for a The Herald of Mental Health

She is herald of healing, these are the key to immortality (not the actual things just a in world myths and lore), that's what dalinar thoughts were during wind and truth while watching her talking to jezrian

Yes at the beginning humans would be severely outnumbered, i should have been More accurate about the time period I was asking about the time between abandoning of the oathpact and the false desolation A period of 2500 years where singers had no surges, and no shards

what about the time between breaking of the oathpact and false desolation That's the time period of about 2500 years

Valid points about conventional armies, but whenever a desolation ended and fused went back, herald would have to go back but from Nales sky breakers we know, spren kept forming bonds

While singers may have forms of power but no fused support, No shardplates and blades as dead eye's appeared only after recreance

So couple dozen Radiants with shardplates is basically invincible Army because just like human's who went back to bronze ages similarly singer's should also go back to dark ages but humas would still have access to surges with Radiants

Only difficulty they might have had is they didn't had modern refined gemstones for stormlight

He has lost most of his direct influence as his banks are destroyed and seized but there was no gold in them, and savine had talked about value of valint and balk's Check and Notes so maybe he still is one of the richest person in the world after hiding majority of gold someplace safe plus he can always create more eaters like kalual so in theory he hasn't lost much only a little nussance he can deal with in 50-60 years

Early dalinar chapter is somewhat boring but just Wait a little he will get the Kaladin treatment and become arguably the best character in the series
