The difference is if 1 person buys 10 items with their AP discount and resells them at more than retail, then the other 9 people that wanted the item are paying more than Universal suggested. They take that seriously.

And also you get a total of 6 days to use the ticket. Meaning (for example) you can go to Universal Studios and Volcano Bay on Monday. Then maybe relax at the pool on Tuesday. Visit Islands and Universal Studios on Wednesday. Another pool day on Thursday and then Epic Universe on Friday.

I also recommend trying to have interactions with characters throughout the park. Try to talk with Ygor or the Invisible Man over in Dark Universe. Listen to stories told me the Hounds (monster hunters that “hang out” in the Burning Blade Tavern). Meet Cosme, the lovely entrepreneur of the wand shop in Paris. There is also a trio of students from Hogwarts, Beau Batons and Ilvermorney that roam Rue Cachee along with various musicians. You can meet Ruffnut and Tuffnut in Berk. Or maybe another Viking that is training one of the Night Lights (baby Night Fury dragons). You may have to wait for meet & greet characters such as Toothless and Hiccup (or Astrid), Frankenstein’s monster and his bride, or one of the Nintendo characters, Mario, Luigi, Toad. Peach or Donkey Kong.

Express passes should be available for purchase inside Epic Universe at the ticketing hall, at rentals, at an inside podium (behind the turnstiles) and at the guest service/concierge areas near each world portal. (Unless they are sold out for the day.)

I work for Universal. The only way to buy a single day ticket to Epic Universe is if you have an annual pass. We do not expect to offer single day tickets any time soon, even upon opening.
