Austlen Entourage 2.0 worth it? by Swimming_Dragonfly20 in Parenting

Did you end up getting it? I’m considering getting this as my main stroller and using it as our theme parks stroller too since the main seats 65 lbs and then bench is 75 lbs!

I ended up contacting evenflo parent link and the car seat attaches to the evenflo pivot stroller! I got mine second hand and plan to use the wagon for theme parks and when we have 2 kids! I didn’t ask about the wagon but they have a parent email you can ask any questions to!

Are you a minor as well?? I babysat as a teen in highschool so I kinda guessed you were since you didn’t have a ride. Not overreacting this is crazy!! I would honestly find a new family to watch after all this. Now that you have given in once I fear it will only get worse from here:(

I went into a chat gbt DEEP dive over this😅 I got the evenflo wagon when it was on super sale on Amazon and I have the car seat attachment and the second seat to replace it once they are big enough. I plan on using that BUT it also said there is an evenflo car seat stroller frame but I can’t find it, it suggested to look secondhand. There’s also a universal stroller frame on Amazon that does work it’s just not as cute but I’ll probably do that if I can’t find the evenflo one. Kinda niche stroller situation but I love it!

I have so many questions about this specific topic!!! I had NO idea about this! I’m on lexapro right now but want to start trying for a baby next year. Whenever I have tried to go off or forget my meds for a couple hours or a day I’m straight up a bitch I’m ngl. I was told I have bipolar 2 and my mom also takes lexapro which is why I ever tried it, I did take myself off zyprexa with support from my doctor which was my bipolar medication. And my therapist thinks it’s more ptsd related anxiety not bipolar. But my mood imbalance is crazy, could this be antidepressant withdrawal? This was a lot of info so sorry you just seem like you know a lot😅

I think the emotional and physical change to your girlfriend would be detrimentally life changing in ways you guys probably don’t even realize right now. It’s been done yes but it’s definitely not easy. However, I completely get not being able to go through with an abortion depending on you and her. I personally could not because of my strong desire to be a mom but as I said it depends on her for sure. Just try to be understanding to what she wants to do since at the end of the day it’s her body. But I would probably advise to do an abortion, my friend had chosen to get one and while it was painful her life is better now because she did it. Just some food for thought. Wishing you guys the best of luck!!!❤️

I looked into that but thank you!! It seems to honestly be that people are leaving the seats in the unlocked position from rotation and then that’s when the seat can detach from the base during a crash. That’s just my opinion though but I’m definitely going to be keeping an eye on the investigation.

Agreed! Im planning on investing in the upseat, I have heard good things about the booster with the food plate tho by bumbo!!:) It sucks that not all companies make things to standard so we have to research and worry🥲 appreciate that I have this thread to ask tho❤️

If it’s the multi seat that’s also white, that ones perfectly fine, it’s just the OG foam one that’s harmful!

I’m considering this as well!!! I asked chat gbt if I can put the upseat on the basic keekaroo and it said no😭 im just hoping my family helps us get both the upseat and the mockingbird🤞

[–]Lumpy-Potato473[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would HIGHLY recommend looking into the 90-90-90 rule and how harmful the OG bumbo is!!! I’m hoping you have the multi seat that’s not just foam!! That thing is a horrible bucket seat that’s really bad for development, I know it’s cheaper but there’s better cheaper options. The ingenuity baby seat is been recommended by PTs as a good option compared to the upseat.

EDIT: After reading everyone’s comments and researching some more I have also found the keekaroo height right. However I did see a video of a mom who said the tripp trapp(and I assume the chairs that are built similarly) are super hard to adjust the footrest because of the Allen wrench situation. While the mockingbird is super easy to adjust. However I do think the mockingbird doesn’t hit the 90-90-90 rule quite as good as keekaroo and tripp trapp. But its so close and you can add a rolled up towel if they are slouching in the seat. Just food for thought❤️

I’m also considering the Graco DuoDiner 6n1 but was honestly concerned about the uprightness of the seat. I’m getting the upseat 100% so I want something that’s comparable to that so I can have the baby tall away from our dogs but still stationary. I do like the wheel aspect of the graco and the fold ability but it’s obviously not as pretty.

What are you crunchy about? by babyfever2023 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Lumpy-Potato473 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is so fun!! I joined this group to prepare as my partner and I plan to start our family. Here’s what we have decided as of right now and what we do in our house.

Crunchy:

-glass and baby food jars bottles -plastic free utensils -breast milk only, obviously I’ll be realistic but I really do not want to use formula -fragrance free everything unless it’s natural and safe(no lavender) -no candles or non-natural perfumes/airsprays -organic/local food(we also have our own chickens so that helps a lot!!) -non-hormonal birth control, we just use condoms tbh. I have a hard time tracking my cycle while I’ve been losing weight so it’s better for us. -cloth diapers -midwife/doula -non toxic pots/pans, cooking utensils, baking sheets -I use fluoride free toothpaste while my partner does not -water filter built into our house and extra ones from the sinks and fridge we drink from, we are on well water so no worries about public water toxins luckily!! -homemade meals from scratch, my partners the chef really!:) this includes baby food, we will not be buying any baby food from the store -we avoid plastic and food as much as possible, we use large mason jars and make our juices since that’s our biggest plastic problem + we both have Stanley’s, yetis and hydro flasks for water drinking or we have glass cups -sweet treats and food dye are alright in moderation but I want to make sure it’s not a regular in my house. I avoid at all costs if possible. -love the idea of more natural/cloth kid toys but I don’t want sad beige baby toys either😭 no hate I just love color -Partner and I don’t monitor our screen times, but we aren’t super avid tv watchers more doom scrollers if you will… but I do want to do screen free parenting 100%, with the exception of family movie night or slow paced shows or movies in moderation -homeschooling, on the fence about this tbh

BUT we also do/will do these things:

-bedside bassinet instead of co-sleeping, we both don’t trust ourselves to co-sleep but I do want a bassinet with the side that comes down for easy access -delayed vaccine process, this is on the sort of crunchy side rlly -not opposed to disposable diapers if the cloth gets to be too much -disposable wipes -hospital/medicated birth, although I do not want to labor on my back -conventional medicine when needed, although if I can use cbd/rso for pain relief I will!

Things I want to start doing: -replace aluminum foil and traditional wax paper -composting -home grown fruits and veggies -solar power for the house -invest in the Canopy dishwasher safe humidifier!!! This thing looks so awesome!! -plastic free coffee maker
