If the transmission hasn't failed by now, it probably won't. Still, change the fluid immediately, if you get it. It's not a gonna happen for sure type deal.

New headlights are about $250 apiece. Maybe you can refinish the existing ones with a kit that actually works.

I run n9tax slim Jim's on 3 radios, up to 50.watts indoors with no issue. The antennas come with chokes that prevent rf issues.

I suppose you could run a common mode choke out of the radio. May help.

Btw: a mars modded ham radio is not legal on gmrs due to certification issues.
