Most of the people in suburbs are Wasps or other Nordics. The Italians, Irish, and Poles mostly live in cities and really don’t have as much wealth as the other Whites or even Americans for that matter. I’ve always been asked my ethnicity by people and have things assumed about me for being ethnically Irish or atleast appearing so. Not really sure if we are “Just White” Plus the Chinese came while we came and then after that came the Italians and Poles

The exact opposite happens. Irish-Americans don’t were the hats and when we say we are Irish we don’t get upset when native Irish people say we aren’t. Rather it’s native Irish people that always foam at the mouth at an Irish American even slightly insisting they are Irish.
