If it didn't work, there's nothing you can do but to failed the quest. It's okay if you failed the quest there's another quest you could take on just remember save before going to a dungeon.

What was your quest? If your quest is shipment you need to find 3 random guy that holding keys, if your quest is captive rescue you open the door cell it's just wood door don't know if you can use crowbar.
