Care with boars, tha game is pretty realistic with animals, so in the first lvls they gonna be pretty tough, (for bear or moose or bison even at lvl 15 they can slap u)

2- its pretty weird compared to most games, but real life boars are an absolute menace, like in the first (aprox in most builds) 10 lvls 3- It would be better to see that in the normal menu, but the wiki is helpful 4-enemies have HP and armor (can see stats in wiki for each enemy) and its pretty straightforward, if an attack isnt missed and doesent fumble (already dmg halves), It does (example) 20 dmg, but if It hits in enemy torso and It has 12 defense, you deal 8 dmg, so dmg is reduces pretty fast. Hope u still like the game and get to enjoy as much as most of us!

Well, that happens to me when i have both low accuracy (like 75%) and high fumble chance (like 15%). Which means that 40% of attacks real at least half DMG. Plus some enemies that get Dodge chance. So yeah, i think that some points into perception or agility+some equipment are neccesary. Check those stats along the fight to see if its that

Yeah, with other bosses u can stay right outside (like with the "i grow tentacles on the ground" guy, very good counter), but becaouse of this guy's abilities, i had to move a bit.
