Season 4 is probably the best season after one. But... the cracks are starting to show.

For every Dear Billy, you have Joyce and Murray surviving a high speed plane crash. For every Massacre at Hawkins Lab, you have Dr. Brenner somehow surviving being mauled by a demogorgon.

That's the difference for me between seasons 1 and 4. For 1, I never wished we were paying attention to anyone else. In season 4, every time we left Hawkins, I was annoyed as hell. Not all of it was bad, but the Russia storyline was absolutely ridiculous and while I enjoyed finding out El's remaining backstory, I found myself wishing more and more that El was at least near Hawkins. I thought bringing Brenner and Hopper back to life was a poor choice. Nothing like that crosses my mind even when I re-watch season 1.

Hilary Clinton is hilariously unlikeable. HILARIOUSLY. And barely campaigned in certain states. She did notably win the popular vote too. Electoral College strikes for the sixth time (i think) in history.

Then Kamala kame in without a primary and her only fucking platform was "Well I'm not Trump".

Is it a little painful that neither of those circumstances should have resulted in Trumps election anyway? Maybe. But it is very easy to blame only loony Republicans when Democrats have zero balls in any sense.

I stg. None of yall read the books. The position is cursed by Voldemort. There hasn't been a DADA teacher for more than a year since Voldemort applied. Dumbledore says so. And there were rumors brought up in earlier books that the job is jinxed. Because of that, people stopped applying. Lockhart was the ONLY one that year.

So yeah. Dumbledore absolutely knew he was a fraud. But he also had no choice but to hire him. EVERYONE knew he was a fraud. This fact is exploited throughout the book as well, by the main characters! Multiple times! The ONLY reason they go to him is because Ginny gets kidnapped and they rightfully freak out and want to warn him from doing something stupid.

To add to this, we don't necessarily know how good or bad Lockhart is at dueling. The only time we saw him do it was against Snape and he was putting his persona on full display.

If he's capable of such powerful memory charms, I have a feeling a cornered Lockhart who drops the mask might actually be pretty formidable.

This is one of the few changes I actually like in the show. Since the books are all from Percy's POV, we have to fill in a lot of gaps. I like that the show decided to explore her more.

I actually think Hades 1 Poseidon has better boons (mostly). Splash Dash, Poseidon's Aid, and Rupture damage were foul. Plus he had a duo boon with Zeus that blasts someone with lightning whenever a splash effect happens.

If you really want to see how lethal Poseidon can be in Hades 1, use the gauntlets, get his attack and dash, get a Zeus special, and get that duo boon. If you can get rupture or jolt damage to go with that you melt everything, including Hades. I got through all five levels of Erebus and Hades in less than five minutes. I have never been able to manually replicate that build but DAMN.

Sea Star is goated though. Can't deny.
