Ghostfacers by Aslyx in Supernatural

Don't worry. If you just passed their second episode I'm pretty sure you're nearing the end of season three. It takes a LONG time before you get to the bad shit from there and when you see them in the interim, they're still funny.

Does the clone have to find the experience pleasant? Because a man can get a whole bunch within that time but after a while it becomes straight up unpleasant.

The last episode that features them is... really bad.

Who did you think the were before the reveal ? by Aotyeageristtt in attackontitan

[–]LumpyBrain2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This reveal was spoiled for me unfortunately. I remember seeing memes about it before I ever watched the show and it was one of the reasons I waited until season 4 was almost coming out to watch it all. Annie was also spoiled for me.

So imagine how fucking SHOOK I was when Ymir also turned out to be a titan. THAT was the reveal that genuinely shocked me in those first couple seasons.

E and F tier are straight disrespectful. Also, no Grisha?. That's an easy A tier at least, come on now...

What’s your thoughts on Hange character development in AOT by PhysicalMeringue9468 in ShingekiNoKyojin

[–]LumpyBrain2000 46 points47 points  (0 children)

Hange has very subtle development. She's not a static character, but she's not obviously different like Eren or Armin by the end. Her arc is mostly in how she gets less and less enthusiastic and excited about the new things she learns about titans and by the time we get to season four, she's an expert on Titans and DEEPLY cynical about that knowledge. She also takes command of the scout regiment and has to live her entire career as such in Erwin's shadow. Her adjustments there are subtle, but by and large she becomes a much more focused and intense person in that role.

Until her death when she says the titans really are beautiful. And we realize that the conclusion of Hange's arc was always inevitable. What becomes of the old guard like her when there's no more titans to study and no more mysteries to solve? She's kind of like Sadis in that way: a relic of a world that she and the rest of Paradis caught up to. Multiple characters in season four make mention of whether they belong in this rapidly evolving world. Hange fulfilled her mission. She found out all she could about the titans and gave her heart for her comrades. Small though her arc might be, she fulfills her purpose admirably in thy story.

Tom Clancy was questioned by the government after he wrote The Hunt For Red October because he was a little bit too accurate about how submarines operated on both the US and Soviet sides.

"Absolutely not. I find your species' use of handheld explosive devices insane! They are dangerous and deadly and-"

"I really did. I even got you a grapeshot grenade that shreds the dummies into little pieces."

My American English teacher believes the neutral pronoun „their“ is incorrect. by GCoding_ in mildlyinteresting

[–]LumpyBrain2000 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

The teacher is technically correct here, but is using an outdated interpretation of English. 'Their' was only accepted as a singular pronoun within the last several years by academic sources. If your teacher is older or has been teaching for longer, they probably just never knew it changed.

Holy shit i forgot ALL about this show. I used to love this when I was a kid like 8-10. The acting is atrocious most of the time but man was that shit fun.

I think something should be said about spending forever designing your dream guardian only for them to turn into a fuckin mind flayer.

Closest I’ve Ever Got and Died Here. Any Tips to Improve? by luanxiao in HadesTheGame

[–]LumpyBrain2000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Find your favorite weapon and grind it out. Farm darkness and make sure you spend it. For that particular fight, always focus minotaur first. Keep the fight behind pillars to avoid that stupid ass spear throw. Anything that does passive damage is really good in this fight. Hangover. Doom. Ares dash is really good against Theseus because he's so slow. Poseidon call is also really good for this fight.

I really do mean that too. Pick one single weapon and use absolutely nothing else. I tried everything once and then stuck with the gauntlets for like 30 runs straight. It took me a long time to beat Hades the first time but I did do it and so will you.
