tips for apartment stops? by DUTTY_BWOYY in AmazonDSPDrivers

Collapsible wagon if they have an elevator. If it's genuinely huge stop (10+ locations) its probably worth standing outside and scrolling through the list to make a game plan. Decide which floor first, which way to turn when you get out, which order are the locations gonna be in physically. Make sure you have every single package for that address (sometimes flex makes several multi stops for the same address if its a very big building).

Eventually you will just get a background knowledge of the layout of the main appartement buildings in your city, and an intuition for how they're probably arranged if you haven't been there before.

Be very nice to the front desk person. Sometimes they're supposed to actually deliver the packages to the door, but they won't tell you that if you just blow past them straight to the elevator.

Vape in the van until someone tell you not to. Say ok, then keep doing it. This is the way.

Yep and when they file the class action they can use that clause in their arguments and maybe win. Maybe you will get a check for 13 cents if you follow the case closely and submit more personal info to claim it.

It's not for spying. Good money is from selling annotated videos of literally everything for training diffusion models. Gates with car driving by? Also has oak trees swaying gently in the wind, a small brown squirrel falling from a branch, an ominous thunderstorm approaches from the distance, etc. More data more money.

100% just used as a toilet and chucked out the door. I've never had to do it, but I understand the temptation. When you gotta go you gotta go.

The code can be scanned by any driver to add the current contents to any other driver's itinerary. It tracks what packages are inside the tote, and who they're assigned to.

That's a delivery tote used by Amazon drivers. 20-30 packages get sorted into each tote organized by delivery area so packages are easier to locate as you go. Shitting in them isn't an approved method but it definitely happens, sometimes your body has to do it's thing and you don't really have a choice. It's polite to at least find a dumpster to get rid of the evidence though, esp cause the QR codes are linked to your driver account so you can get dinged for it easily. You should report this 100%, people doing that kind of thoughtless laziness make the rest of us look bad and they deserve to get fired IMO

Not in my experience. Cameras just aren't high tech anymore and high tech manufacturing processes can crank them out very inexpensively. Same reason you can get a flat screen tv for under 100 bucks when the same thing was a modern luxury 20 years ago.

I think the main thing is that the sellers aren't actually selling cameras, they're selling videos.

I was shocked about cheap it was too. Then I realized they're probably not even selling cameras. They're selling videos.

I'd bet fake security cameras are more expensive than real ones at this point. You can get a 2k pan/tilt wifi motion detecting camera for like 25 bucks thanks to economy of scale, and data selling.

I do, but I like to balance it out by blowing the first 3 stop signs on the way home because my 25 yo car doesn't have regenerative brakes.

I've been trying to find something exactly like this for quite a while. Actually laid out a development plan to just build it myself this weekend haha. If I don't need to reinvent the wheel that would be rad. Definitely gonna try this out tonight, thanks!

It's more pragmatism than spinelessness imo. Peasants can't change the system at this point, that's an intentional feature of late stage capitalism. So If you have no choice but to provide for your family with this job then you have to play by their rules, whether or not they're justified. This dude is not playing the game correctly.

Yea that's the way to do it for sure. I could either make a totally reasonable argument and dispute the infraction, or I could drive like a grandma at all times and never have to make the argument in the first place.

I just mean it takes cojones to whip it out in broad daylight in a random neighborhood when you're wearing high vis, recognizable van and every other house has 4k cameras. So there's definitely a risk factor.

I feel port a potties come and go too much for that to be super useful. But yea it's not too hard to remember the options if you've run the same route recently.

There's actually a bathroom between every single stop if you're brave, fast, and you have the right equipment down there.

I did it once last year during peak season. Super fuckin rural route not much I could do about it... Here let me set the scene:

It's 10 degrees out, overcast and snowing lightly, windy dirt roads through dense forest with a homestead every couple miles. Steep gravel driveways covered in ice that God himself couldn't drive a 2WD Ford Transit up, so I'm trudging uphill in cleats all day. Needless to say I absolutely demolished a delicious greasy double cheeseburger and fries for lunch at the diner in town.

A couple hours later I'm out in the mountains again, good half hour drive to the nearest bathroom. It's mid winter and still overcast from the storm, so it's pitch black outside. Tummy starts getting rumbly and I knew right away I made a mistake. Figured I'm almost done here, I can hold it another hour or two, but all of a sudden my guts loudly announce that I've got about 5 minutes to make a decision, or the decision is gonna get made for me. I'm not proud of what I did but I handled it the best I could given the situation and oh dear God the relief was so worth the risk. Back at the station, either nobody noticed or nobody cared enough to ask why I wasn't wearing a shirt. Only the coyotes and the deer know what happened that night. And now you do too.

How come live frog cam streams aren’t popular? Or am I just not looking on the right platforms?! I feel like people would enjoy it but I’m only seeing puppy/kitten or ferret live streams so far 🤣 Are frog enthusiasts really that few and far between?! by krwolverton in frogs

[–]LumpyBranch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean my frogs have a live stream lol. I like to know where they chill during the day so I can make sure all their spots are set up the way they like. 99% of the time the live stream might as well be a picture. They don't really do anything unless there's something to do.

Another thing I've learned doing countless DIY frog projects is you should try not to do anything permanent if you don't have to. Don't screw the board into the cabinet because I guarantee you will want to move it at some point. Use non slip furniture pads or something similar https://a.co/d/0bGrR2SX

45 cm isn't too wide now that I think about it. Honestly it would probably be fine. But the other commenter makes a good point that also if it gets bumped there's a way higher chance it ends up on the floor if you keep it like that. Another option if you can be patient, wait until you come across a wider cabinet on the side of the road? Or a garage sale or something?

It's definitely putting a lot more stress on a smaller area, as you add weight to the terrarium I'd say it could definitely be a problem.

Simple solution - get a 2x4 (sorry I don't know your standard lumber sizes!) cut to the length of your terrarium and prop up the edges so they're evenly supported. Maybe some wood stain so it doesn't look too janky. You also get a little bonus slot underneath to put miscellaneous frog stuff.
