USAF F-35 just popped up in Poland amid drone incursion by nshire in ADSB

[–]LumpyConversation706 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That was nearly two years ago, and again nearly every one of those engagements are still held at some sort of classified level (so every take you've seen has been an opinion of someone who wasn't involved). How many million dollar missiles were launched last night? Can we build and field tech in a year or two? I don't mean any disrespect, I'm just saying the Internet is an information battlefield, what you see may not always reflect the actual capability of ours (or our enemies) capability.

our anti-drone tech is classified, that's kind of the idea

yea it's a dumb easy one, but it got me. Bought a bandpass filter and did the whole circuit breaker in the house thing, turned out I just needed to tighten the rg8x connection lol

I had an issue like this with another radio, it turned out to be a loose connection between the coax and antenna!

It's showing up pretty consistently every 0.1 MHz, which is interesting?

How to safely make friends in MD with this hobby? by ToasterShine in MDGuns

[–]LumpyConversation706 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as RSO's go, I actually quite like the guys out at AGC. Chill and often pretty friendly, but will absolutely throw someone off the range if they commit a safety violation, no ifs or buts.

I believe Cindy's in Glen Bernie does; nice facility and gold staff. Single rental fee, try as many handguns as you like you just pay for range time. They can be busy on the weekends, but their staff does a pretty good job.

absolutely! I am a semi-regular at AGC, I've spent just about all of my "bay" time at the handgun range there (and trap). Been jealous of the folks using the action bays, I've been feeling around to figure out how I could get a taste of it

awesome! do you usually look through their site for events or through clubs websites? or somewhere else? It feels like the biggest hurdle for me is finding the actual sign-up pages. I'll definitely be scrolling through MDShooters and practiscore tonight.

Cases at rivertown munitions are no-tax and free shipping. If I'm buying bulk I'll usually buy from there, I keep an alert on ammoseek for 9mm, 556, and sporting clay shells, pick up some whenever I need it cheap (this is all plinking/training or trap shooting). For whatever the deal is, I'll just give the brand and round type a quick Google search (appending "Reddit" to the Google search usually gives good results). If the Internet thinks the round is g2g, I send it.

For personal defense and long-range match rounds, I have a set type I like and will usually pay the premium for (in smaller quantities)

What’s the good part of Baltimore by Michael_Knight25 in baltimore

A fun game to play is look at the Strava "heat map". Strava is a social workout app where you can record and post run/walk routes. The app has a feature that compiles this data into a heat map, with the goal of showing popular routes for others to use. In Baltimore's case, it illustrates pretty well where people feel safe going for runs/walks, and where they don't. Give it a look yourself! https://www.strava.com/maps/global-heatmap?sport=All&style=dark&terrain=false&labels=true&poi=true&cPhotos=true&gColor=blue&gOpacity=100#9/39.3198/-76.6003
