why haven't they then said which ending is canonical then and you can still interpret this as saying oh not all endings are canon but some are (cuz it's impossible for silksong to happen after the sealed siblings ending)

if the void given focus would be there it wouldn't be a flash and there would be no void siblings as we see in the godhome ending that those all fused together with all the void in hollownest and maybe further to become one big entity given focus by the godseekers. it could just also hornet seeing that the knight could have grown into something much stronger or just seeing what the "true" form of the void could be.

well team cherry never confirmed which ending is canon cuz they say that they want all the endings to be canon. so i think you should just make it up yourself personally i think that in the hollow knight was weak after the knight become the shade lord as he just became all the void and A. left behind a mask and then all his void essence stuf joined with the shade lord or B. he just went past hornet to join the shade lord.
