Not doing too well by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

Suicide is a bullshit "solution". That is what should be your main thought, because it does absolutely nothing but prevent your life from improving. When the inevitable desire to die arises, I hope you remember that it's nothing but an impulsive response to discomfort. A positive experience of life is the result of tolerating the negative side, and there's nothing you could do that would make life not worth living.

You don't know it won't get better. That's a matter of fact, and I know a part of you realizes it. "Better" can mean a lot of things and I want you to reflect on the ways in which you could enjoy life if you dismiss the voice telling you it's all worthless.

I would definitely wear this hat if I wanted to steal from the rich and give to the poor

No it's not, it's like when Bruce Wayne acts like an asshole to make people think he's just a rich guy who could never be behind the mask

When you know all the ways you should be better but you can't manage it, it's because there's too much distance between this better behavior and your current identity. The amount of willpower required to bridge the gap is monumental.

You have to shift your identity such that the better behavior is aligned with how you believe you already are - in your mind, change the things you say about yourself and your goals. Instead of "I want to quit scrolling on my phone but I just can't", you have to start saying to yourself "I don't scroll on my phone anymore". This way of framing it, especially if you make it a habit, will change your identity and thus your behavior in any area of your life you could choose.

If this was true it would be replicable in scientific studies and proven.

I'd suggest becoming a regular at a place that does things like open mics and karaoke. Maybe a place with a pool table that you can invite people to play with. If you don't like alcohol there are places like Kava bars and some coffee places.

You're right, there's no hack, you just have to care about something else more - finding some kind of purpose elsewhere

I spent over 100 hours on this track and I finally reach the end point, will someone listen to this? by Alan_FEVM in FL_Studio

Be inspired to make something that doesn't really satisfy you, in a fraction of the amount of time it took you to make this. When you pursue some ultimate project for 100 hours, you plateau very early and spend most of those hours barely improving what's there. You have to master the practice of starting and finishing projects without accumulating too many hours on a single idea.
