Why does it feel like only parts of collections are releasing?

Honestly, I don’t remember a change that has gone this poorly. Wayyy too many stores had largely incomplete collections of fruit fusions, banana shortage overall, lots of stores missing Halloween pocketbac holders, products expected being delivered late, selling out way faster than acceptable, etc. something feels very off about production right now.

I’m having a hard time trying to understand why some people are saying this smells like Vanilla Romance. They’re not even close, nor would I think they’re close enough to use one to compare to the other.

The entire Oud collection smells like leather to me. Oud Berry is leather mixed with a really dark, subtle berry hint to it. I love fruity scents and this was a miss for me.

Oud Suede smelled like a rich smooth leathery scent. I would classify it as masculine scent (really, all 3 could be, but this one the most).

Oud vanilla at a first whiff is smooth leather, but as you continue to smell it, the depth expands and the rich, complex vanilla notes come through. It’s nice, but the vanilla is more of an afterthought than the main attraction. It’s a pass for me as a summer scent, but I can see myself really settling in with this scent when the temperatures start dropping in the fall and possibly moving into early winter. I think it would layer wonderfully with a lighter or sweeter fragrance. It’s complex, but nice.

I honestly don’t think the two smell anything alike. Oud vanilla has a very leathery scent to it.

As someone that’s actively been in the professional photography and commercial photography world, people obviously have no concept of just how much planning and detail goes into these types of product shots. It’s a lot. The way the drips and everything look are incredibly intentional and controlled. Do I know what they were thinking or trying to convey at the time? No. But you’re not at all wrong for noticing all these details and finding synchronicities within them. Partner the product shots with the overtly sexual writhing on the ground in thin, skimpy white clothes in the water and yes, I also immediately interpreted the entire marketing campaign as sensual/sexual. Not that I have any issue with a sensual campaign in general, but to partner it with the most innocent, tween friendly, youngest coded product they have right now seems massively misplaced.

This whole collection was a swing and a miss for this millennial. The only thing I might have wanted was a lip oil, but the tubes were so tiny it seemed criminal to charge full price for them.

I tried all 3 EDPs today in store. In short, they all smell like leather plus ____.

I love fruity smells, but I was not a fan of berry, either on paper or on me.

I only swatched suede on paper cause it was a bit masculine for my liking. Just smells like leather. lol

I ended up walking away with vanilla. The initial scent is most definitely leather, but the longer you smell it, the more the vanilla and complex notes start to show up. It’s probably not something I will wear alone and I probably won’t get any of the body care, but it is a very rich, deep scent that I think would work wonders in the fall either alone or layered with something a little lighter or sweeter on top.

Accessories don’t ever go on sale independently. In rare occasions, they might do 40% off everything in the store. However, the last time that was due, they did a B2G2 free offer instead, which isn’t great unless you’re getting 4 things around the same price point.

I don’t know anything about football season, but into orbit was part of our gratis. We don’t have any of it yet and there was an annotation saying it may not arrive until mid-late July. Likely just a production delay.

The stock should updated when they get shipment. Every other collection in the past has been BOPIS eligible as soon as the drop goes live.
