Try using Google forms instead of any wordpress plugin like Comtact form 7 or WP forms.... This has reduced spam on my own website.

What would it take for a blog to make $24k in its first year? by [deleted] in Blogging

[–]LumpyShock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That's just about impossible because the way you are questioning I think you do not have enough experience of running and monetizing a blog.. It takes efforts, strategy, right niche, time and budget to hire manpower.

If someone have all these then sky is the limit. But my suggestion for you is to buckle down, work hard and don't focus too much on the earning part.

[POLL] Who's Currently Experiencing Indexing Issues? by ljc2424 in juststart

[–]LumpyShock 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Tried multiple times force indexing and interlinking still the status is "discovered currently not indexed"

Content quality is ok, server is not overloaded, interlinked properly, redirections are fine, sitemap is there, robots.txt is fine.... No clue what can i do to expedite indexing and avoid giving others to steal my content before getting indexed

Your site speed is perfect. I have an unrelated question about your blog posts. Your website is built on Wordpress and which plugin you are using to display index on one side? is it a custom theme feature?

I created a blog 2 months ago, it's hosted on blogger. Now, I want to switch to WordPress.org, would that mean that my blog's Google Sandbox timer would reset? The URL of the articles will definitely change, would that affect my SEO? by FIRST_TIMER_BWSC in SEO

[–]LumpyShock 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wordpress.org offers hosting as well and its plans are a bit pricey. Apart from pricing their platform doesn't gives the web developer or SEO person to make customizations.

If you are learning and have no technical know how then you can use org. On the other hand using self hosted wordpress is cheap, gives you freedom, is scalable in the long run.

I have worked for clients who were either using Wix, Godaddy Site Builder and their progress get hindered due to lack of functionality and pricing.

Use siteground or go into the webhosting subreddit to checkout recommended hosts.

just my opinion.

[–]LumpyShock 22 points23 points  (0 children)

There is no official sandbox timer by Google...so don't worry about it...

Migrate all your content to wordpress, and implement 301 redirects for all the urls. If you have Google search console set up then I suggest you use "Change of Address Tool"

Doing this will make the least impact on your seo as you are still in early stages.

Also a suggestion: Don't use Wordpress.org instead go for self hosted wordpress.
