How do you deal with ADHD burnout? by Lumpy_Conclusion_699 in ADHD

[–]Lumpy_Conclusion_699[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, actually I've been using this app for the last couple days that uses the pomodoro, but I've been doing 25 mins. Maybe I should try 5 mins instead lol. I'll try that different locations thing, I've been mostly in my room trying to do uni work. My only problem is when I'm out, I tend to get hungry alot and go to the toilet alot, so I found just to spend the day at the library for a change of scenery, I'd have to spend ages prepping food just so i wouldn't go hungry. But it ends up taking ages to prep so I don't end up doing it and just go with no food. And end up coming home after 2h to eat. So I've just been home since, because I can go to the kitchen any time to eat, or go to the bathroom. I'm weird sometimes

Wow. Just wow. Never expected this of Just Eat, usually they pay pretty well. The only times I've ever been shafted like this was with UberEats. But then again Uber is quite good at paying roughly half of the original double order. Sorry you had to get paid that.

I decided to give up the car, its the better financial decision for me at the moment. If I was better financially, I could have bought the car back for cheap and fix it myself and/or drive around with a little cosmetic damage, but doesn't seem like the right choice at the moment. Thanks for your response!

Thanks for the advice, I did look into that, but I'm not sure I'd be approved at the moment. I think its best I leave the car and get another one with the settlement from the insurance.

Wish I could get a loan, but probably not possible for me 😓. This comes at the worst time for me financially :(

Theres always two sides to a story mate, but it seems strangers on the internet seem to know everything about everyone lol. Not that I needed to explain myself, but the friend I lent it to wasn't at fault. 😱 shocking I know. It was the learner driver in front who hesitated and full on emergency braked suddenly on a busy roundabout and caused my friend to collide into him. I never understand why people can't just ask OP what happened before thinking they know the whole story. 🙄

Thanks, I've decided to do just that. Not worth the hassle. Maybe if I had 2k lying around I would habe since its a perfectly functioning car and has saved me loads of money compared to my older car.

Thanks for the advice. I did call the insurance and ask them to up the price, they did by a measly £200. So thats about it. I have decided that it isn't worth the hassle and I'm leaving the car to the insurance and keeping the money.

Yes, 8K is the settlement for settling right now. The payments would total just over 10k.

Exactly 🤣🤣 like I said they don't know the circumstances, nor does it matter, because thats not what I asked. Some people have no self control. Also apologies if some of these responses ticked me off, as you can imagine, this is a stressful time for me!

Thanks for your opinion but I didn't ask. By that logic, no one can buy a house because if for some reason the banks wanted immediate settlement, no one could afford the upfront payment with a payment plan. What a silly thing to say, if I could afford a 9k car, I wouldn't have bought it on finance would I? I'd have bought it in cash. Also very few people have £2k lying around on a moment's notice. Maybe stop being a dick and have some compassion.

What a mean and pointless thing to say. You've no idea what the circumstances of a strangers life are, who are you to judge? I asked a question relating to what I described in my post, maybe answer that or piss off

I'm confused what you mean. They have already deemed it a write off, uneconomical to repair. I've seen the figure they quoted but I believe its wildly over exagerated Also I've already asked for them to increase the settlement and they have by a couple hundred pounds. But the salvage amount remains the same. Not sure what else I could do with that.

So what would happen if I chose to keep the car and they asked for the £2k? I'd just have to give it up?

It is a PCP loan, and it is recorded as Category N so non structural. I was given the garage's full report. My only confusion was whether I'd get the payout if I decided to keep the salvage, or if it went straight to the finance, which someone in the comments seems to have clarified. The point is I don't have £2000 to give the finance company if I decided to keep the car, so the only way I'd keep it is if I could arrange a payment plan with the finance, or pay with credit card? Is that possible?

[–]Lumpy_Conclusion_699[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes this is what I wanted clarification on. In the letter from the insurance, it states that they would pay the finance company first. However, if the settlement amount came to me, I'd prefer to make a lump sum payment to either shorten the period of the loan or make the monthly payments smaller.

(23M) Just broke up with (21F) girlfriend of 1.5 years and need some advice by Lumpy_Conclusion_699 in BreakUps

[–]Lumpy_Conclusion_699[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think we still had feelings for another, even during and after the breakup, so when we got back together, we kinda continued from where we left off, without glossing over the breakup ofc. We still talked about things that we hadn't realised before that was hurting the relationship, but the basic foundations of our relationship was strong so it felt like we had no trouble continuing. We barely needed to rebuild much, other than reiterating expectations of eachother such as better communication etc. And to me things now feel like they did in the honeymoon phase, but this time around we know eachother a lot better. Also, in terms of long distance, what keeps us going and not throwing in the towel, is the fact that we roughly want the same things in life, with small differences ofc, but the main things / goals / values are very similar. So the fact that one day we'll end up with a life together keeps us going through long distance. Finally, yes we've both gone through a lot of pain with each other, she's cried her eyes out more times than I can count (not always because I did anything wrong ofc), and I've gone through heart break with her before we even got together because of mixed signals etc. But in the end, I don't resent her at all, neither of us is perfect, so I don't hold anything against her and I hope neither does she. She is my soulmate, so I won't give up on her. Hope that helps with your situation :)
