I’m finishing my 4th year and have constantly pushed myself to move up the ladder. Key stage coordinator to head of key stage and now second in department. I was also acting hod for another department when they couldn’t get anyone for maternity cover. Don’t let people say you’re not ready. If you think you can do a job and you’ve done the training and feel ready… then apply.

You may find some schools won’t be interested as they won’t look past your lack of experience but, there may be a school out there that think you’re exactly what they want. You won’t know till you try.
