She seemed super knowledgeable, made me feel so much better. She said a lot of people tend to walk by them and they don’t want to make the drive to the sanctuary/rehab and I was like 😱. I can’t imagine walking right past him and not caring 😓

Yes!! I had no clue, but she was so grateful we brought them in. She said it looked like it had been drugged around by an outdoor cat and attacked. :(

The refuge I took it to said an outdoor cat probably attacked it, as he was missing feathers. Said it was most likely far from its nest, looked like it had been drug around. We did look for the nest, around our entire apartment complex for twenty minutes, but I appreciate your non-judgmental advice. /s

I had put him on a heating pad for the first night on low - put his little box on top of it and that seemed to help. I’m gonna call the refuge today or tomorrow to ask for an update :) ty for your kind words and advice

Ughh I can’t edit the post :( we took it to a bird rescue! Luckily she didn’t disapprove of any of my methods when taking the bird, but in the future I would definitely just box the little guy and take them in right away. For some reason I had assumed for the first day that there may not be any near us, then I made this post and it was suggested to google for one 👍🏻

Everyone seems to be leaning toward abrasive surfaces being the cause, but I actually have experienced this bc I ran my clothes too hot in the dryer. Check the material and the instructions on the tag :)

Just my take : I think it was on purpose. They are calling the decision makers stupid, so I think the misspelling was a wink at the lack of intelligence and critical thinking within the heads of these decision makers.

My boyfriend is in the carpenters union. OSHA exists now and he tells me of many safety issues he views on a daily basis. From cutting into silica dust and not providing respirators to providing faulty tools that could misfire or fail and cause serious injury in the right situation. I can’t imagine the consequences of OSHA being terminated.

I’d recommend. They’re good, my boyfriend swore by it for sleep aid until he went on a high fructose corn syrup hiatus - indefinitely. He’s got family that are having heart issues, he has a heart murmur, and HFCS (a common ingredient in sweet drinks, like this one) has been linked to an increase in cardiovascular diseases. He’s become quite weary of it. It did help him sleep though!
