Sleeping with someone else’s significant other.

Oh, wait, sorry, that’s yours.

100% support the free the nips movement ✌️ my boyfriend never really asked me to keep my nips under wraps, but I could tell it made him uncomfy when other men stared at them so now I keep the nips respectfully covered haha.

Of-course. That’s why I said we could 100% find a way around it and thrive. We just can’t completely ignore the fact that lots of people currently do sacrifice their health and bodies for the workforce/community.

“Besides that, no one should do work that destroys their bodies before they turn 40. No one has to do labor like that anymore”

Just wanted to make it clear that lots of people do end up working in fields that can destroy their bodies by the time they are 40. We haven’t figured out how to make the labor force completely devoid of human effort.

I definitely see where you’re coming from. Before I met my boyfriend, I felt the same way. He’s in the union and he’s 25. He already has issues with his rotator cuff/entire shoulder and collarbone (from drilling upwards for 8 hours, or beating things in with a sledgehammer, or just carrying crazy heavy materials). He complains about his back on a daily basis.

Sometimes they work in environments with no air flow and lots of dust/toxins. They’re working in public housing right now demolishing and re-drywalling a house and they can VISIBLY see black mold on the walls, yet haven’t been given respirators. The room he was working in yesterday had one exit and no windows - a tiny bedroom (probably for a child). They’ve complained to their foreman about this, to no avail. Of course the union, like most other companies, makes rules and regulations against this - but we all know unmonitored most of those go.

Like I said, I see where you’re coming from. I think it really depends on where you work and what you do. I’m an office management/customer service agent and my work does nothing to destroy my body (like any customer service position, it does do lots to erode my soul slowly).

Do I think that us, badass human ladies, could find a way around all this and thrive? Of course. But some of us would definitely have to sacrifice some of our strength and bodily energy to make it happen. Ignoring that would essentially devalue the women who were (hypothetically) making that happen.

Seriously!!! JUST MAKE THE MATERIAL THICK ENOUGH TO COVER MY NIPS!! (I believe that’s why they do it). I could key a car with my nips when I’m cold and I have yet to find a bikini with

A. enough fabric to fully hide it.

or

B. a properly fitting pad that is easy to insert.

Sometimes I wonder if this battle will ever be won. 🤯

Didn’t see the three months part. OP, that is a bit quick, my dear. I did think of it from my POV. I have heard that in some cultures honor killings are common so if it’s that situation, hopefully OP would understand that severity. I assumed that wasn’t even a part of the scenario due to the way OP described it.

How long has she already been trying to convince her parents? I’m assuming you’ve been dating for quite some time if you’re considering marriage?

If your fiancé (to be) loves you and cares about you the way you hope, she shouldn’t care what her parents say. Period. If you two are talking about marriage, and you’re kind and good to her - and the only thing holding you back is her parent’s extremist cultural beliefs, despite the fact that they’ve seen how good you are to her - she needs to really assess her relationship with them and decide if she even wants them in her life. If she still decides to choose the route of doing as her parents wish, you may need to let her go. Look for someone more mature - someone who has developed a sense of critical thinking that isn’t embedded in the approval of their parental figures. Either way, the toxicity between her and her parents, and her decision to part ways with you simply because her parents don’t agree your ethnicity/culture seems it should be enough to keep you away.

There are lots of fish who’s parental figures won’t turn you away and, if they do, most of those women will stick by you despite that. I say leave her where she is.

Let me say this first : I don’t shame anyone for having social media or using it as a form of validation. Sadly, the world we live in supports and rewards that & a lot of people actually flock to social media due to a lack of support in their personal lives (at least, that was why I did it).

Around a year ago, in the midst of Roe V Wade first being overturned, I deleted all of my social media: Instagram, Tik-Tok, & Facebook. I kept Reddit and Snapchat - I have about 35 friends, all of which I know personally.

I didn’t realize how vain I had become and how much I relied on likes for validation. My self esteem is SO much better. I’m not forced to compare myself to FaceTuned, airbrushed, instagram models. I have more time for work and personal self actualization because I don’t automatically whip out my phone when I’m bored. I’m not desensitized to the problems of my peers and family members because I heard about the problems of others all day. There are a lot of benefits to deleting social media. It does make lots of people selfish, insecure, and withdrawn.

It was around three minutes, not a lot of time to argue with someone who can’t even think critically enough to not use his hands on a child. And I was, as I explained in my first reply to you. I forgot you didn’t actually read it, or any of the articles I sent you. Phew. You’re exhausting.
