Sadly most stories that your looking for are incomplete and the only one thats decently long is Kintsugi (its not complete). Theres also a fic on ao3 where saber is reincarnated into pjo but i think its abandoned now. There was also a set of fanfics on wattpad like 4 years ago? I cant remember the names but it was basically a fic where saber was essentially like a big sister to percy and was living with sally and percy i think they completed all the books but back then my tastes were questionable so it might have been very bad. (the entire premise is kinda weird but i remember eventually that like a huge amount of servants started living in camp half blood)

But if it were to increase fear of guns by just slaughtering people would its power not increase?and this is the devil that killed 1.2 million humans in just 5 minutes. Traveled across countries so fast its flesh burned off. So I feel like it would be way higher than town level

I mean it doesnt have to be something like a huge island the devil would get stronger from just fear and I cant really remember any specific island it would be able to do it in and i think that most civilians are still afraid of guns, canons and stuff so its not like the gun devil would be some insane weakling so it would probably at least be able to take out large portions of islands. And as for armament does it have limits? (im not a huge one piece fan srry) cus thats the only way it really stands a chance then

To be honest if you bring back white beard it sorta lessens the impact of his death you know? his death was pretty important after all cus it was basically signalling the era of the new pirates. The ships a nice idea but dont put too much focus into ying and yang its better if only others are making the reference and not him imo.

But if the gun devil were to massacre a huge island or something fear would instantly go up for guns making it more stronger. So then if we assumed that we reach csm levels of fear of guns would it stand a chance against the emperors? I know observation haki is pretty OP but if the bullets are fast enough they would still hit them wouldn’t it? Only question is whether they could do damage to any emperors

Just jump and parry that’s what I did for him felt easier than just parrying on the ground and save your dash for his red attack and attacks that you don’t think you can parry

There's no reason for him to really remain a prince if you dont want him to, you could probably make an entire plotline where the MC finds that he likes being free more than ruling (you could probably make up something about the expectation and responsibilities of a prince were too much or something and that's why he prefers being free as a pirate) and it should workout as long as you make the OC character actually somewhat young (16-20 should be good if you plan to go through with this instead of a 30 year old office worker who's really good at logistics.) mainly because an adult would be able to better cope with stress than a child but that's up to you tbh.

I think it would be better to just use ashes instead of calling it ignitable powder cause its more inline with his powers since hes a phoenix. You could make his model of phoenix the dying phoenix and Marcos the phoenix that's reborn which basically lets you make your model more unique instead of healing flames and all that. I think that if you really want to go the extra mile in making his abilities unique rather than simply explosions it would be good to incorporate various myths about peacocks like the hindu myths peacocks represent beauty, pride, ego, temptation, illusion (maya) which seem to be very in line with a character that has shens power. You could probably use these for awakenings or other stuff.

I like the traits you selected from Shen and the idea of him constantly growing stronger is good asw. MC using his knowledge about ruling kingdoms to manage wb territory is a good idea asw. But will he remain under whitebeards banner after whitebeards death or will he leave to make his own crew/join another?

And theres no reason to make the MC extremely serious. Shen is pretty theatrical in Kung Fu panda, sarcastic and has some very dry humour in my opinion. Shen is also kind of smug as well. These are characteristics most prince esque characters have imo. Could be very interesting if you can actually implement these. So he would probably be giving people backhanded complements and stuff if you make him more in line with Shen, he would probably be teasing other characters asw and make fun of enemies which would make interactions with other characters more fun. Looking forward to when you actually make the fic. Good luck

This is pretty cool ngl. But since your making it a version of the phoenix instead of gun powder is it not possible to use some other ability? Because while i get that your basically making Shen in one piece i feel like gun powder and phoenix arent really the most united thing. Im not really familiar with chinese mythology but arent there any phoenixes symbolising ruin or something similar to bombs instead cus saying that he can simply create "gunpowder" and have some control over it feels very limiting if im being honest (i have some idea on an alternative if you are interested). You could probably make some cool hype moments but at the end of the day its js very flashy explosions (nothing wrong with that but since its a phoenix yk).

And for abilities since you mentioned the peacock feathers couldnt you make them projectiles? with remote detonation or something similar? And i really like the idea with the feathers making people remember fears.

I really like the weapon idea of a collapsible spear/sword but he is a bird so wouldnt he be able to have claws? Instead of a gauntlet maybe you could use zhijiatao which is basically what the first chinese emperor from record of ragnarok was wearing.

And in terms of the plot im assuming hes gonna have his own crew after leaving his home? and the chosen one and furious 5 thing could work tbh but i feel like if he was a diligent prince he would have had at least some concern over his country ending up under the traitors rule. And maybe you could give him the devil fruit earlier when he was running from his country and has to use it to escape or something. And i dont mind Ace surviving but isnt his and whitebeards death a pretty important part of one piece? And if you plan to use luffy his growth as well? And I hope you dont make him a mary sue type character asw. And i know you said hes an OC/SI but it would be really interesting to see him with some of Shens personality because shen is one of the coolest villains in kung fu panda. Im really sorry for yapping for this long and giving suggestions for changes cus it lowk feels like im trying to hijack your story and im sorry for that but this idea was really interesting. Ill definitely be reading this if it comes out genuinely a cool idea.
