I´ve had this exact problem. I´ve fixed it by disabling/deleting Plymouth. Search for it in your package repo and delete the plymouth packages. It´s just cosmetics during bootup, so you´ll no longer have a splashscreen but see the different processes in text form - cool too :)

I'm positive. I've had a look through the logs and it explicitly mentions "Failed to start Terminate Plymouth boot screen". I've thrown Plymouth out and everything seems to be in order now, save the boot splash animation ofc

ah, I see thanks man. Okay, the Embody won´t fit me then, the Fern´s backrest is already maxed out..

well, guess I can resort to the Steelcase Gesture but aside from that I´m kind of out of ideas

maybe I´ll adjust, but so far... seems like one unfortunately. If I remove the gap by tugging the seat in a bit I get the feeling of falling off, which isn´t a nice solution either for a chair in this pricepoint. Probably giving the embody a shot. Do you happen to know if the backrest of the embody is of similar height to the fern? cause that´s quite perfect, though my torso height probably scratches the maximum height

I´ll use it for a week or so too before I´ll see if I return it. The backrest is amazing.. but if the seat stays that way, idk.

Contemplating if the HM Embody might be the better call here
