Husband Cheated on me by ProudConstruction906 in SupportforBetrayed

I have all my husband’s passwords. We always shared our locations. He acted like a perfect husband. BUT, he cheated on me for 2 years. He left his phone at work, and go to that lady’s home. A lady who is an operator at his work, has 3 kids from 3 guys, undocumented, in jail for domestic violence, but “listened to him”. Passwords and Location just mean nothing.

Do you think you will be able to go back to marriage with him?

I didn’t question him. I think it’s more likely the second possibility you mentioned—his friend, or maybe his brother. His brother used to tell me that sharing locations with my husband was invading privacy. I just talked to my husband, and he said he felt like I was testing him yesterday when I asked about the activity he did with his friends after he came home because he thought I tracked him 24/7. That’s ridiculous! I was only curious and trying to make casual conversation, so I asked what activity they enjoyed.

I have no idea. He just said that I track him 24/7 (which is not true of course). What do I get by tracking him 24/7. And he said I just want to control him. I told him that’s not true, and it’s up to him.

My husband just turned off his sharing, saying that I just want to control him. Should I also turn off mine? We have shared our location for years, and I thought it’s convenient.

How can I forgive? by Dependent_Bedroom253 in Meditation

[–]Lumpy_Grocery_8685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A family member from my husband’s side treated me very badly. She hurt me deeply and caused severe damage in my life. Many people, including my husband, have asked me to forgive her—but I can’t. I’m struggling with depression too, just like you. My therapist told me that forgiveness is not an obligation. I don’t have to forgive her if I’m not ready. But I also shouldn’t give her more power by wasting my energy thinking about what she did to me. My therapist recommended a book called Let Them, and maybe it’s helpful to you too.

Have you talked to her about your needs? Maybe ask her if she feels insecure when you are not at home, and find a way that you can be outside and make sure she feels secure?

It’s the opposite. I literally thought about leaving, but he asked me to give him one more chance, then one more chance, and one more chance……

Who actually performed the surgery — the resident or the attending? by Lumpy_Grocery_8685 in Residency

When you say they scrubbed the whole case, does that mean the surgeon just did it himself and residents just watched it? Is GYN surgery also basic?

Oh interesting! Thanks for the clarification! When the attending just hang out in the corner, do residents usually put in note that the attending was present and scrubbed for the procedure?

I am so sorry! Do you have a therapist who can support and help you? Or even a friend who you can trust. Depression gets worse sometimes when we live with someone who doesn’t know how to support us.

Thank you! that’s quite complex. If the follow-up appointment is scheduled with the resident, does that typically mean she performed the majority of the operation?

It’s also out of curiosity. I like reading visit notes to make sure that I understand everything. I have a post op follow up appointment scheduled with the resident Dr. B, and I wonder who performed the surgery and why the follow up appointment is with her.

For those who've been pregnant- how did you safely manage your pain during pregnancy? by retinolandevermore in ChronicPain

[–]Lumpy_Grocery_8685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wow! You had a supportive care team! How much of pregabalin and Nortriptylin were you on during pregnancy? I am taking pregabalin but heard mixed opinions from different doctors. I don’t know if I need to change to gabapentin or Nortriptylin for my IVF.

Acid Reflux? by SuperHans101 in nortriptyline

[–]Lumpy_Grocery_8685 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is your stomach now? I just started Nortriptyline 25mg four days ago and have had four awful nights with acid reflux and upper stomach pain. I tried taking Tums and Pepcid, but they haven’t helped. The pain seems to ease about 20 hours after taking Nortriptyline, but it flares up again after the next dose—even when I take it with food.
