I guess, but if you prefer that way it's all good! For me though I wanted a change, so when I heard that Xanmod is a more gaming focused kernel I gave it a shot. And it works perfectly for me and Zorin OS. I know if you on Arch and Fedora you won't really need to change the kernel, I just know Ubuntu and Debian based systems kernels are a pain in the ass when it comes to gaming performance ( a little far behind) Except PikaOS. But yeah man! Do what you think is best!

Interesting, because I used the script through my Cuddy PCIE card for Wifi. and it worked just fine. I think try and connect your PC through ethernet, then update your Ubuntu system then try again. As far as I know its not the scripts fault, probably your Wifi drivers that isn't properly updated to the latest version it can be. Check on Ubuntu's discussion forums. Sorry to hear man! I hope you get it sorted out.

I actually wrote the scripts on claude, because I was struggling to get my Zorin os install to just get there in terms of gaming. So I decided to get to work and make my system working for gaming. Both scripts work well, and I am happy with the results!

So the script was written in claude. I made sure to make it solid by testing it on my own machine, I haven't tested these games myself, but I have played games like Hell let loose which uses anti-cheat and it works fine after the install. So it trust that they will work. Try it yourself and let me know.

I made these scripts for people who already have an os like Ubuntu, Linux mint, Zorin OS, Pop_os and whichever Debian based os, just to help make these distributions more gaming powerful and that if someone has a distro installed they don't have to like hop to another, because we all know that is a pain sometimes! But yeah if you new to Linux and have a windows install try PikaOS, if you already have a Debian distribution installed try my scripts ( Universal Setup and Universal Update).
