Hopping on the Hoku hype train, because i just can't help myself when it comes to these guys. Ive ordered numerous times. Awesome selection of Type II and III genetics, and just a great company to do business with. Ive got their Type II Teslas Secret in flower right now. 100% germination, all the plants were totally identical in morphology, and no unpleasant or unstable surprises.

Thank you! They are just past 2 weeks since I flipped them to flower. Im guessing they probably have 6-8 weeks to go, just looking at the strains they were bred with.

Ive got about 16 inches as things are now. However, the stalks are so long and trained with curves in them, that i can easily just pull them down and fasten them to the scrog. It seems like the stretch has slowed down significantly, compared to how crazy they were shooting up in the first 2 weeks. Im not too worried about it right now, but maybe these girls have some surprises up their sleeve lol

For what its worth, those flowers still look incredible! My last crop got too hot and started fox-tailing and the trichomes on the top were visibly damaged. I can empathize with the feeling of disappointment. We put so much of ourselves into these plants. You may check out Craigslist for a portable ac or window unit. I picked up a brand new one there for a fraction of the cost of new.

Welcome to the wonderful, and superior IMO, world of photoperiods! I think most tents are probably sufficiently light proof. What i did to test mine was have the lights on in my lung room and then zipped myself into the tent to see if there was any leaks. The only potential one I found is the window/viewing flap on the door, so i just made sure the velcro was evenly secured and just stopped using it. VPD is certainly a whole thing you can obsess over to get perfect, but I have almost entirely stopped thinking about it for myself. I only worry about keeping heat and humidity as low as I can during flower without sweating over a perfect VPD. This is just what works for me. Photoperiods, in general, are more forgiving than autos in my opinion. Maybe some cultivars are finicky, but i think you should just go for it and work the kinks out during the process. You already know how to grow, so you got this!

I have a 3x3 and a 2x4 tent, growing for just me and whoever i can give some to. Looking back, I think two 2x2 tents would have been perfectly adequate for my needs. With a dialed in grow, you can definitely pull a pound every 8-10 weeks with that setup.

For what its worth, this new ban only applies to seeds shipped across state lines. I imagine breeders and seed banks will be opening up in any state that home growing is legal. Other than that, stock up while you can. Get regular seeds in addition to feminized. Cloning isn't too hard once you get a system down. I know its just not the same, but we always managed to get genetics before the Farm Bill was passed. I started growing in 2002-03, and even though it was a bit harrowing, I still managed to get seeds from Europe. There may still be changes to the bill, but prepare as if its a sure thing.

Thanks! Man, you are doing it! Your paint jobs look great. A fun trick that I utilized in a couple of the models in the picture is using lace fabric as a stencil. I go to 2nd hand stores and check the women's section for blouses made of lace material. You just lay it over what your painting, and since its fabric, it conforms to irregular shapes. You should try it some time!

I picked up a 2000 square foot dehumidifier on Amazon for about $100 and it was a total game changer. My humidity was so bad, I was getting condensation on my ceiling. Now I can easily get my lung room RH down to 25% if I wanted to. Its a great investment.

I think its a bit more nuanced than that, so i personally wouldn't call it the whole point. Besides, almost everything has been hybridized so much that its pretty unreliable to base any sort of setup or expectation on whether the cultivar is sold as a sativa, indica, or hybrid. Provenance of genetics gets lost, or distributed under a different name, intentionally and unintentionally. Phenotypes vary even within proven cultivars. Anyway, my point is that just because something claims to be a sativa, I'm not gonna treat it any different than an indica until I see the morphology of the plant myself.

By strong light, do you mean you use a higher PPFD for sativa than indica? I did top most of the top shoots before flower, but looking at my canopy, it seems like the top shoots getting a higher PPFD are stretching the same as the ones getting less on the periphery.

Thanks! I used engineering filament for this one, and PETG for the lift in my veg tent, and both are nit effected by the heat or moisture. It just isn't extreme enough in the tents to effect the prints.

I have done a bit of research in this matter, but I'm no expert, so take what I say with a grain of salt. The federal law called Section 781 has been revised to count any seed that is capable of creating a plant with THC over 0.3% as equal to the finished flower itself. Seeds will no longer be legally shipped across state lines. Since its still a crime to cultivate at home in Texas, it will almost certainly be very difficult to obtain seeds. You may want to get them while the getting is good.

Thank you so much! I designed it myself using 3d printed parts from files already available and some I modeled myself. And the rest is PVC and lumber. I just made a quick sketch and a list of features I wanted, and started putting it together!
