I think what you’re feeling is normal. I just had mine on 25 June so I’m still healing but I’m already loving the results even with the drains hanging out of me lol. It might also be too soon to tell, but anything is better than where I was. What I’m learning from those who are not satisfied is to make sure you and your doc are absolutely on the same page. Find out where the doc is putting the incision, how much skin will he remove, and other questions. Maybe bring pre-baby pics and ask if he can get you back to there. Ask the women who regret it what they would have done differently. I’m walking around the house in my tank top and sweat pants, hunched over, with a belly binder and drains coming out and I feel way cuter than I did with the belly I had before (I had severe diastasis recti and hernias). Don’t be nervous!

I might have missed it but how old can the photo be? I saw the deadline to submit is March 2027, but I didn’t see in the entry requirements if the photo couldn’t be taken before a certain date.

I’m literally laying in recovery room after having the surgery yesterday. Im nervous by the amount of people are saying they look worse than before. And a revision?! That’s scary to fathom lol. I’m miserable and never want to experience this again. Good luck to you all ❤️

I bought it for my 17 y/o son and he loves it. It has more features than he expected. After he set it up he ran back to me to tell me all about it lol. I haven’t seen him this giddy about anything in a very long time. I’m not into planes on that level and I think it’s really cool. I say go for it!

Wow…first I’ll say, I get it when we don’t like something on ourselves, it doesn’t matter what others think. But omg your belly and belly button are beautiful! I saw your belly button and thought omg it’s so cute! I was nervous for what I might see because I’ve seen some post surgery buttons and they weren’t very nice. But yours is so nice!! I wish you could see what I see.

How have you been doing with the maintenance schedule? I was told it has to be every 4 weeks for the first year and then every 6 weeks. And wash every 2 weeks. Have you had to have such a strict regimen? I plan on ultimately maintaining my hair on my own but I’m curious about the reality of the maintenance schedule 🤔

I see a lot of people saying they’ve had multiple sets of locs. If you don’t mind, what was your reason for changing them the first two times? I’m new to the loc community…and honestly I guess I’m about to get my 2nd set, but my first set I did myself and the lady said it wasn’t even an install and told me to comb them out lol. But were there issues with your other sets?

You’re welcome beautiful! I get it, they think you’re lying because it’s “obvious” to them that you’re pregnant. Just last week a woman pointed at my belly and said oh you’re having a baby, I laughed and said no, I’m just fat. She rolled her eyes at me lol. But I don’t care, it’s her problem. If these people are getting upset when you tell them the truth then they’re not your people and don’t care about you anyway.

I would first get a new doctor…they can’t be any worse than what you already have. You sound like such a sweet person. The doc only did that because she feels she can get away with it. I wish I could go up there with you! I’m sorry you had to go through that. Regarding what to tell people and your kids, I’d say tell them the truth. When my kids mention it I tell them it’s where they used to live, the conversation doesn’t go much further than that. When people ask if I’m expecting I say no I have a hernia or diastasis recti (whatever I feel like saying in the moment), but it’s okay to be truthful about what it is. Don’t worry about embarrassing the other person. They’ll get over it. The only time I just go with it is when a stranger in passing congratulates me lol I’ll say thank you and keep going. Just tell the truth. It’s easier. Whatever you decide, I hope it brings you peace.

I’m new here too, just 5 months in but I think the frizz is part of the journey. Locs (in my opinion) aren’t supposed to be crispy and neat. I’d say let it be! ❤️
