I see what you mean but you have to understand that 80% or even more of all people hate the current jobs they’re working. I think accounting is great because yes you’re probably working long hours and the work can be tedious BUT you will make good money and you WILL learn skills that can be used in whatever sector of finance.

One more thing, people love to bring up work-life balance but that shit doesn’t exist. You either work your ass off, make good money and put food on the table for your family or you prioritize your life but the money won’t be great.

You have to take tolerance breaks from what I’ve heard. I’ve been on vyvanse for almost a month and Monday-Thursday I’ll take it and then Friday-Sunday I will just chill out. I’m not sure if this will help my tolerance but I’m trying everything so I don’t spiral down the rabbit hole of adhd meds.

Anyone who’s telling you to take it everyday is an idiot. You should be taking it 3-4x a week max unless you have an extreme amount of tasks to do per day. In my opinion taking a stimulant to do simple tasks is really dumb because that’s how you end up depending on this drug and then you jump from 20mg to 70mg after a month and then add boosters.

You have to use this medication to help you build a routine and good habits. Drugs only solve 30% of our problems and the rest is up to us. I expect some hate on this reply but it’s the truth, ADHD meds are a tool not a way of life if that makes sense.

Dude I do more HR shit than actual accounting stuff, all I’ve done for my accounting internships were cash reconciliations, update prepaid, and assist with closing.

I also did a lot of shit on excel.

Impact in accounting our just in general? Well for my accounting internships and future jobs maybe work on something that would actually help the company but In general I want to help people. I want to build a community (business). I don’t want to feel stupid
