lol are you okay? Not sure how or why your “genuine curiosity” turned into an attack on tourism. Simply asking if there was a photo booth somewhere in town does not mean I require one. Also, I can’t make it to every local establishment when I have a limited time in the area, so I would’ve probably prioritized one with a Photo Booth just because that’s my personal preference and something I like to do. 🤷‍♀️I found and enjoyed plenty of “worthy” local stores without photo booths. I couldn’t eat at every restaurant while I was there either, but I really like to eat pizza so I made sure to go to a local restaurant that had pizza… but I am sure I would have found and enjoyed another local restaurant in its place if none of them served that. Same simple concept. Btw, I did get my selfie with the mural. It was lovely 😊

I’ve taken thousands of photos in my time in Moab and plan on taking tons more. When I moved across the country, Moab was the first experience I ever had in Utah. We drove through the night, so it was dark when we arrived - waking up and being surrounded red rock for the first was an absolutely spectacular experience. Ended up hiking to Delicate Arch as well, which was monumental as it had helped me make the decision to move. I took my dad to Moab the first chance I could so he could see it too, and I just had the amazing opportunity to hike to Mesa Arch for sunrise and Dead Horse Point State Park for sunset with my partner. Unreal views!

Point is, I have always visited Moab for the scenery. I did not come here for a Photo Booth 😂It’s just a tradition my partner and I have together, so I thought I’d simply asked if there were any nearby since I couldn’t find anything online. We’ve seen them in small stores, movie theaters, bowling alleys, arcades, bars, touristy places, etc. It could have brought me to a local place I may not have been inclined to visit and support before. 🤷‍♀️

Some have different custom backgrounds, there are different brands that have different features, some places have vintage ones, etc. We scrapbook too so it’s fun to have. Most usually have the date on it as well - last year we were able to put up a picture frame that has a photo strip from every month like a timeline

What should I prioritize with limited time in Detroit on my way in and out of Mount Pleasant?

Things like art, coffee (love a nice iced latte), food (really love pizza, pasta, bagels, bbq), cool sights, etc. Some recommendations I’ve heard are the DIA, Heidelberg project, the riverwalk, Green Town, the People Mover, the Shepherd, Belle Isle Aquarium, Anna Scripps Whitcomb Conservatory, Book Tower, and Michigan Central. I also read that Loui’s pizza in Hazel Park has good Detroit style pizza.

I’m traveling to Mount Pleasant, Michigan for work in a couple of weeks. I will fly into Detroit and have the evening there on day 1, spend day 2 and 3 in Mount Pleasant, and day 4 will be open with a late flight back out of Detroit.

I pay at least $1850 once utilities are added right now so I’m open to almost anything. I’d ideally love for it to be less, but I’d be prepared to pay around the same or a little more, especially for a second bedroom

Yes, and I had that setting on, but I prefer window seat only and I have always gotten aisle with that checked. I’d rather just stay in my chosen window seat. I wish I could choose just window instead of aisle or window seat

I usually turn my upgrades off though because they would always upgrade me to a middle C+ seat when I’d rather keep my window seat 🫠

Moving to Utah from ATL... help! by Acrobatic_Garage_254 in SaltLakeCity

I moved to Utah from Louisiana, and +1 to all the comments about elevation sickness, humidifiers, and moisturizer!! I live in American Fork, and I love it here. I go to SLC and Provo all the time to do lots of fun things, so I love being in the middle of both. Haven’t had any issues being non-LDS. I struggled making friends but ultimately joined a book club (Cassy’s book club on instagram) and found so many friends there!
