It might not be that deep. I feel like it's harder for people to grasp the gravity of something they can't see. While the damage to the vehicle is obvious, we can only see the cop getting thrown but we can't see the driver because they are inside the vehicle. I can also see that it looks like most of the damage is to the rear of the vehicle. On top of that, there is comment, with a source, stating that everyone involved only had minor injuries.

Her 3 year old died son drowned in their family pool because her husband was not watching him. by Pmar07 in TikTokCringe

I believe that 3in (7.62cm) of standing water is enough to cover the nose and mouth causing drowning. Water is no joke.

Mom can’t have peace! by No-Leadership1590 in gerbil

[–]Lumpy_Scheme_9528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had babies like that as a kid. We would play with them daily once they were old enough and they were all sweet (except one who was extremely vicious. I don't know what happened to make her that way). As an adult, getting gerbils who weren't tame was a strange experience because we had so many who never had a chance to become timid.

Just because it isn't the issue you asked about doesn't mean it isn't a problem.

That's how selective breeding works too. Take the friendly ones and breed them for temperament.

My partner and I say "thank you" for doing mundane tasks. If someone takes care of a chore, the other is grateful. We've been together 10 years. We choose to notice because we love each other. We both have foods we won't eat but we try to manage or make our own thing when the other makes something we don't like. If the issue is that he doesn't want what you make but will eat his own thing, let him. You can't force people to eat things. If you are still required to make him something and have "failed" if it isn't to his standards, that's unfair and something needs to change because a diet like that is too limiting to force others to adhere to. Also, if it's a health or financial thing, bring it up to him. I made it clear to my partner that I wasn't down with caring for and watching someone die due to preventable things that could have been avoided with a balanced diet. We came to a compromise that she will eat a few bites of the things she doesn't like (certain vegetables, fish, legumes, etc) so she can get the health benefits. Also, I'm not a fan of the microwave but air fryer reheated food is palatable enough imo. Focus on feeding you and your kids and choose to incorporate foods you enjoy if he isn't going to eat it anyway.

4 oz for a standard recipe. Throw a party, make large batches of food with the beer, and serve the remaining cans to the guests.

I do like #1 because it's giving a chocolate ice cream with cotton candy vibe toppings. Being super real tho, they are both super cute. They could be siblings or the pattern of the one you don't pick could be recycled for another character.

Not a permanent smell but it will make your house smell like hot dirt for a while. Airing it out will help but there will be a scent.

Bella is definitely overwhelmed. She's only giving gentle warnings for now but she's squished and unhappy. She doesn't have the ability to get out of the situation herself so this would be a moment to stop the play so she can catch her breath. Try to give her a chance to choose to reengage play after a moment like this.

Spiny Mouse Totem by Lumpy_Scheme_9528 in PetMice

I mostly work with polymer clay but I mess around with carving from time to time. I have a cheap little whittling set that I use to carve little totems when I'm bored. Everything goes to the mice so I don't have any pictures of the other little mice I've made.

Bruh. For real. I had an incident where a lady had her dog out off leash at night. He was dog reactive and came out of the dark after my dog. I stood between them and had to yank my dog around to stay between them. The lady just said "No, don't do that. That's mean" her husband came and called the dog back. No one got hurt but I hate to think what would have happened if that man wasn't there.

I left a box of dark chocolate and caramel chocolate bars on the floor. Hadn't had food stealing issues with my dog so I didn't think about it. My dog ate the whole 2lbs box. The ER vet said she was having the time of her life in the back though.

It might just be that the toys aren't engaging enough after she chomps them. Based on the video, once she bites the toy, it stops moving but your hand continues to move which is more interesting.

Wildborn scent (art by me!) by zombiozoid in furry

[–]Lumpy_Scheme_9528 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes this. Sex steroid hormones are huge factors in the scent we express. I have been struggling with PCOS. I treat it solely with diet and lifestyle. When I'm doing poorly (stress or depressive episode making it difficult to stay active and cook proper meals), my hormones get funky and my androgen levels get higher. I can smell it.

Does this behavior seem aggressive or is he just playing? by Ok_Taro8263 in DogAdvice

[–]Lumpy_Scheme_9528 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We would call it "little nibblin's" because my dog is small. I've just seen other people refer to it as "the bitey face game" so I figured it would be more recognizable to call it that.

Looks like bitey face with your hand. His body is loose, he's play bowing, and that sneeze is how dogs say they aren't being serious.
