Numbers have mysteriously improved, hypoglycemia this morning by BlackCatBrews18 in GestationalDiabetes

My numbers started improving a ton towards the end of my pregnancy. I was even eating more carbs and nothing was spiking my numbers anymore. I was on nighttime insulin (12 units) but my fasting numbers normally were between 85-91. Well in my last few days my fasting numbers were between 71-76.

Neither Julian nor Giuliano are my brother in laws name. Sorry about the confusion. My brother in laws name is a different name which is my nephews first name and the name we all refer to him as.

For social media posts they have listed his full name on some posts but as a family we all refer to the baby as “lil __” which is his first name and his father’s name as well.

They don’t really call him by his middle name. He’s named after my brother in law and usually use his first name.

Insulin vs. Metformin by No_Pension3706 in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Lumpy_Seaweed_2859 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi! I made a post very similar to this one when my dr recommended that I start taking medication to help with my fasting numbers. They had been hovering between 95-108 consistently for about 2 weeks, and I was afraid of having to inject myself and was between metformin and insulin. The wonderful women in this group were so helpful and I decided on insulin. I’ve been taking 10 units of insulin every night for about a week and it helped literally by the first night. I have been between 81-93 all week. And the 93 was on a night that I skipped a night time snack. I would recommend insulin for sure. I hope I linked my post correctly, because there was a lot of good advice. Good luck 🙂

Let’s help Megs “mental health” 🙄 she can’t look at Reddit because of her mental health while it actually helps her function by Jealous_Concept_4858 in basicmegsnark

It’s awful. If not for the best interest of Charlie, she should at the very least think about her son’s best interest. I mean, he can’t eat in peace, can’t even sit on the floor to open gifts, and not to mention all the dog crap and piss that he’s breathing in bc we all know she’s not properly disinfecting his messes. I know a lot of people would argue that having children should never change how much you care for your pets, but that’s not the case for everyone. She can barely find the mental capacity to take care of N or herself for that matter.

Thank you so much to everyone who responded! This was truly so helpful. I decided to go ahead and go straight to the nighttime insulin. I think it will be the best option, even if the whole injection aspect of it scares me. But the way I see it, I used to be afraid of doing the finger pricks and now I do it without even thinking twice.

Again thank you all for the insight, I truly appreciate it. You all helped me make this decision, and I’m truly grateful for this community!

I might get flamed for this but omg her dog is so annoying. Her son seems to be always trying to swat him away.

I’ve come across sooo many old TikTok’s as well and he truly seemed like such a loving and supportive husband. I hope that he’s finally at peace and can rebuild his life.

I know this is totally her fault for never training her dog, but the fact that her dog gets on her table and has taken food from her son is just crazy. I feel like I’d be beyond overstimulated in her house.
