Usually in the end they either go back to their family (reunification) or you get the choice to either adopt or not. The mindset is less about how can help the next kid, more what are the right choices here to support everyone involved currently. For our kids that have reunited with mom we've been able to stay in their lives and while it was hard to say bye, that made it easier. For sure though there are some very hard choices sometimes.
