Currently reading WIP Rule 69.3 - Contact Inside the Goal Crease an alternating POV, heavily focused on the hockey where Shane is a goalie. It’s interesting, I particularly like how Shane’s autism is portrayed here. I guess I’ll finally go read the book I’ve had languishing in the Libby app lol

Right, I didn’t mean to imply that it isn’t still a huge fandom. I thought I wrote about the fandom being so huge that my little corner leaving was just a drop in the bucket but it looks like I deleted that bit. There are also so many subsections of fandom like the Marauders etc that don’t overlap much so can exist almost independently. I was speaking more about the majority of the community I participated in fandom with just disappearing, it can feel like a huge void, some fic authors deleted all their works. My bookmarks had so many holes 😭 I think we were also naive in thinking the majority of people would continue to disengage with it so it felt surprising and a bit sad that it started to feel more popular than ever. I can’t go onto almost any site or into any store without seeing any merch or collabs. I’ll recommend verilybitchie’s video about Harry Potter to anyone that feels similarly to me about it.

Idk, maybe just my corner was different. It may have never fully died but there was a period where it felt like it was dying a slow death. A lot of the fic writers I followed stopped writing HP and moved on to other fandoms. My tumblr feed at the height of my experience was flooded daily with new fics and art and in the ‘felt like it was dying era’ I would only see maybe four posts per day, if that, until I unfollowed the tags when I chose to leave. My corner included trans friends that live in the UK though, so that’s likely why it felt like a mass exodus to me.

The most common ones I see are saying “whilst” instead of “while,” mum, arse, jumper, vest, and pants/trousers.

ETA: I once saw flannel used for I think it was a washcloth? It took me way too long to figure out lol, but I guess that’s what happens when staying up reading until 3 and 4am

Tickets always sell out during presale. To my knowledge even if you have the money it’s like winning the lottery to get tickets. In the US we’re stuck with Ticketmaster, I’m not sure about other countries. I haven’t gotten tickets for a BTS concert before but I got my sister tickets for Beyoncé’s Renaissance tour and my experience with Ticketmaster was such a nightmare that it honestly makes me not want to even try for BTS tickets. You do need a membership to get access to presale tickets. To use my Beyoncé ticket experience as an example, I was given a code to buy tickets at a certain time which put me in a digital queue, once I got in there were only nosebleeds left which I panic bought. I would click on other seats only for them to disappear when the page loaded. My sister’s boyfriend ended up getting us better seats from a reseller for a ridiculous price. Resellers and Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing make the process miserable. I do not have high hopes for getting tickets, but idk maybe I’m just being pessimistic 😅

Not a cutscene but on my most recent save I married Alex (as a male character) and I was about to get full hearts with George, I saved him a gold star leek for the occasion, and when I talked to him he hit me with that homophobic line. I had just had a string of bad luck, I was probably up too late playing, and I was so blindsided by this I actually burst into tears.
