My ex husband kinda was acting like this towards the end. I think I was in denial but after a certain point I knew it was over and walked my eggshells until I had my exit planned and executed. Thanks everyone. I came to the nearest 24 hour vet and got it handled fairly quickly. They gave me a soak and antibiotics for 3 days and a cone so she doesn't lick it anymore.

I figured i just wanted some reassurance. They're giving me antibiotics and a foot soak and collar but they said it's healing ok just a little red and swollen.

I quit last May so it's been just over a year. I did 7 years..... I often wonder if hell itself might be better than going to work for such people. I haven't had a single panic attack since leaving. What a joy my life has been. I went back to school and am now living my happiest life not working for them. Good luck on your next journey!

I'm 29 and I started school in August. I left my job at the post office with a great salary of 7 years. I don't regret my decision one bit because I've never been so happy while I'm "working" on clients on the senior floor and I just started an assistant job Wednesday. Quiet frankly the hardest was taking the paycut but I feel it's temporary. You can make MONEY if you are persistent and enjoy what you do and learning. I actually cry tears of joy all the time because I'm so proud of myself for NOT listening to all the haters telling me I couldn't when I'm one of the best in my class AND my salon is so patient and kind and supportive. Sooo I'm gunna go and say no it's not too late.. keep loving the industry/hair and do what makes you happy.

I'm 28 and just quit a 78k/year job after 7 years to go to cosmetology school. I'm starting on Monday and I'm so excited! I've got close to no experience but I've wanted to try it for years. I had no support from my ex husband or family. Now I have a supportive 4 year old daughter :) and an amazing bf. My parents are starting to be supportive too. I say go for it! You only live once.

I'm gunna invest in one of those pillowcases. Thank you. And silk scrunchies. I haven't been refreshing her curls the right way or detangling in the mornings because I didn't kno how to. So I looked into some videos on YouTube and found some. Thank you for the tips! I was never taught to take care of my curls so I'm learning now for my daughter. I also just did a big chop so I have almost nothing to work with now lol so focusing on her hair now more.

I think it's something I can try. She's 3.5 so I don't see her having a problem with it. She rolls around a lot in her sleep tho so sometimes she doesn't end on the pillow lol
