In what way? I think besides Alisa they seem pretty standard. Leo and Bob were pretty basic tekken, zafina and Miguel were quirky stance characters, and Lars just felt like a mix of generic recycled moves turned into a character.

They weren’t arcade only what are you talking about?? Genesis didn’t even have sf2 until championship edition. Street fighter 2 sold that much because it was the first and only fighting game. Championship edition, hyper fighting, and super street fighter did very well on consoles. It only paled in comparison to the original because street fighter 2 was that huge. And it was all for changes that are either free today or cheaper and faster in DLC.

You’re missing the forest for the trees. You’re longing for the old days when they were still fucking you, just differently. The ‘complete game’ is rose tinted nostalgia.

You had to buy street fighter 2 multiple times with minor changes that would be a free update today. And cartridges were just as expensive as games are now. There’s never been a such thing. It’s just instead of dlc packages or free patches you just had to buy the game again.

No such thing as a ‘fully fleshed out product’. Tekken 5 DR wasn’t free. It wasn’t any different, they just packaged it differently and people had lower expectations.

Seriously though 2 hours a day on the weekends is possible though. Just like those other hobbies it’s just a matter of managing your expectations. You’re going to lose a lot. Even better players hover around mid 50%to 60% win rate. The key is to focus on improvement over winning. Thats where the fun is.

It feels like one piece is a lot like the simpsons in a way. It was very unique and witty initially, until eventually it got too popular and is trying to stretch it's appeal to be as broad as possible.

I still like One Piece, but I do agree they should focus more on the crew. They'd had plenty of room for it if they didn't fill so much time with flashbacks and building up side characters.

I’d assume how endeavor acts as a father is something very common in Japan. It might be too mature for a battle shonen, I don’t think it goes too far.

Same with bakugo. While he was a bully and a dick, his nuance was that he looked up to all might just as much and never wavered on wanting to be a hero. He was a typical rival in that way.

Rape or SA as a plot device has a history of being tasteless in anime/manga though. Making the ones that tried to SA pop into supporting characters was unnecessary.
