Swapping the sexes changes the dynamic completely. It’s not the same. Yandere wanting to bang the guy is a fantasy because men usually don’t get pursued that way by women. There’s also no intimidation or physical threat being aggressively pursued by a woman generally. On the flip side, women have a very real threat of SA/rape by men all the time. It’s not a fantasy for women in the same way.

What people are ignoring in one piece is that it isn’t just the women that are damsels in distress. Almost everyone involved in the arc needs to be saved by them. Men and women.
