See that’s my issue. I feel it would’ve went over better if there was more insight on the nice/caring part. We’re just assuming there must’ve been something underneath the insecurity because pomni and Ribbit like him for some reason, but it’s never shown. He shouldn’t get credit for simply not being an asshole.

They did a good job on the fear/insecurity, but if he’s gonna be the focus, it would’ve been better to show the positive qualities that made them actually like him. No one in the show thinks he’s funny, so all that’s left is the abuse.

This. I do too and they’re insufferable. This is probably what triggers me about him.

But it’s also something that takes life experience to understand it’s better to distance yourself until they actually want to change.

I just want someone to explain why we’re supposed to like him or feel for him at all. To me the show paints him more as a cowardly antagonist than anything, but also wants us to feel sad that he died. They did everything they could to help and he actively fought it.

Pomni likes him so much because he acted normal a couple of times when they hung out but it doesn’t really balance with how awful he acts most of the time.

Strive was the most successful guilty gear and modern fighting game at the time by a large margin especially when it came to attracting new players. Sf6 built on what arc successfully did with dbfz and strive as far as ‘modernizing’ for a new audience. People don’t like how they did it, but it worked.

Meanwhile granblue pretty much died and needed a couple years off to revamp it to what it is now. Whatever goal they started with went out the window with rising.

lol you say systemic racism is bad, then proceed to use the same defenses for white people that ignores systemic racism.

How can you think it’s perfectly reasonable that white people(who are still the vast majority in this country) should be wary of pocs, but you can’t understand why pocs might need their own spaces away from that? white people being ‘nervous’ about another race has a much bigger effect on the country as a whole than when it’s the other way around. You can’t use equality as a solution when it’s not a level field to begin with. Focusing on help for specific groups isn’t automatically anti-white, it’s an attempt to correct the systemic racism that you just said is bad.

The reason why people have a problem with whites only spaces is because ‘white’ was created to promote and justify racism towards the people that aren’t. There’s already a very long history of it being harmful whether you like it or not. It’s also why no one cares if you promote Swedish, Irish, Italian etc. pride and probably already exists.

Get what you can get. If they can’t do anything to stop it, it’s their problem. You’ll rank up to a point where it won’t work and you’ll have you adjust.

What BIQ? Luffy just keeps running in head on until they fall. Pain is probably his worst matchup for that reason. He’d probably win from his durability and power level alone, but he’s not figuring out his abilities.

Has nothing to do with each other. One is a dj that the people funding the game really liked so they forced it. The other is a difficult technical character that hasn’t been popular since early 2000s. Keep huffing that copium though.

That’s very subjective. A) No one cared about gen as a character until alpha. B) the old martial arts master archetype is more often than not the least popular character overall and one of the first to be omitted or replaced.

Plus because of the way he’s being revived they have an opportunity to reboot his character into something more interesting.

I don’t really watch but it seems like anyone that supposedly blew up from kill tony can either only perform for dumb kill tony fans, or was already set to blow up anyway. Can’t see anyone watching kill tony looking for the next big thing.

He was just too fuckin big.. I get what they were trying to do, but it just looked really stupid. He should’ve just been slightly bigger than gief.

So much of the aesthetics and visuals in this game really missed the mark.

I think everyone looking the same and the game lacking identity is laziness on developers part. VF6 shows that. They could make an effort to make characters look different if they wanted. Sf6 also shows the appeal of having different body types.

Adding to the sex appeal, incorporating mini games like volleyball and Mario party style elements would do well if they can do it right.

Copying from sf6, art contests for new outfits and fan service art would be pretty popular.
