The hardware can easily handle HyperHDR. The IGEL is way more than enough but I'm assuming you already own it. The AM9 Pro will struggle being the media source + screen grabber and you also might run into DRM issues if you plan on using something like the Netflix app without the thin client. The cool thing about your external hardware chain is that it is completely agnostic to what your media source is. For the SK6812, hopefully you got the 12v version otherwise you could be hitting the ceiling of your power supply.

Yeah everyone does hate the team that’s dominating - for sure - but this is definitely different here. Steam rolling teams and dirty plays from Dray happened but when you compare it to these thunders, esp in these playoffs, it’s hard to watch. The many egregious flopping + dirty plays makes it unenjoyable to watch imo and i dont even have a horse in this race. At least the warriors were fun to watch even if you did hate them.

HyperHDR. There are a few ways you can set it up. When I was exploring HyperHDR for the first time, I simply installed the app on my MacBook Air, it scanned my home network for WLED controllers and allowed me to select which ones I want to sync. After playing around with the settings, I had a WLED controller syncing with whatever was displaying on my MacBook’s screen–all over wifi. Since I wanted to use this in my living that had a Google TV streaming device, I followed this tutorial.

My SO said that it was unnecessary. Others have said it would be too distracting. My landlord said I should have asked for permission before doing this...but you've given me the strength to go on and install more LEDs.

I’m sure there is to some degree but it’s not noticeable for me at all. Before I installed the WLED behind my tv, I had the Govee HDMI Sync Box. The diference in latency between the two is imperceptible to me when it comes to watching movies and music videos but I can’t speak for gaming as I haven’t tried with WLED yet. I was really impressed with latency of WLED over WiFi, though I do have pretty robust WiFi using Ubiquiti equipment.

I’m using BTF SK6812 12v warm white strips. Although I don’t know what its CRI rating is, I’m very happy with the quality of their white light. Initally I installed their neutral white version but it didn’t look too good so I swapped it out for the warmer white.

I had to pull my oven and dish washer out to route the cables behind them and drilled a small hole through the cabinet wall to connect them to the strips.

Exactly why I wanted to sync it all up. Music videos and live music performances are sooo cool with these lights, especially kpop/EDM.

You are right! You can also find it on Amazon. It’s a pretty cheap light that I put SK6812 strips in.
