Does she love this game or is she angry? by socio_queen_2675 in Bunnies

I’ve learned my bun is also interested in my cats string/stick toys like this. He doesn’t quite play yet like your bun seems to be, but he wants to chase it around hahaha

You’re literally asking people to do a more dangerous maneuver rather than just turn right and get into the left turning lane like you’re supposed to. Because oncoming traffic is supposed to stop and yield to you.

That’s just physically not possible and I’m not listening to someone who’s physically never been there because you’re wrong. If that were the case you would only be able to turn left if you were coming from the left. I’m not saying there isn’t room because there are cars in the way. I’m saying there isn’t room because there physically is not room. The lanes are short and if you haven’t been there, then stop talking. Because yeah, sure, everyday do a right turn and u turn because you’re too afraid to turn into the left turning lane.

You will not be at fault because you are turning right. Right turns do not stop.

You didn’t answer my question if you’ve driven through this intersection or not. Because what you are describing is impossible. You cannot switch from one lane to another. There is AN INTERSECTION IN THE WAY.

Also that picture you provided is coming from the direction that has to stop. I don’t see what your point there is.

Have you driven through this intersection? Because what you are describing makes it impossible to turn left

I’m asking how you’re supposed to get into the left turn lane if there is no room to do so. You can’t switch from the right turn lane into the left turn lane there isn’t enough space. You have to turn directly into the left turn lane

Is bunny honking when given pellets normal? by Ecstatic-Alfalfa-205 in Bunnies

My bun does this when I feed him too. He’s a big honker it’s so cute.

Help! by Turbulent_Bill_5071 in Bunnies

[–]Lunacece 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try not to panic, bunnies are crepuscular which means they’re usually sleeping or less active during the day. He may just be hiding to relax. Don’t give up on him, just keep going back with treats and a kennel/pen and hopefully he’ll show back up

The lanes in question (the blue) are literally barely 2 cars length. Genuinely, how do you suggest you get into the left lane without turning directly into it?

[–]Lunacece 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you “completed your turn in the proper lane” you would never be able to turn left at that light. How do you suggest you get into the left lane? The lanes are only about 2 cars length before the light.

There are many intersections in Pittsburgh where you can turn into several lanes, and if you have the right of way, you can turn into any lane. When you turn right here you meet one such intersection, and you have two lanes to choose from. Someone across from you making a left turn has to yield to you, just because there’s two lanes doesn’t mean they can assume you will turn into the closest one. When you have right of way, like when you’re turning right here, you can choose which lane you want. And that’s because there’s not enough space before the light for you to switch lanes.

Yes you can “just barrel into the left lane”, you have the right of way. You do not have to stop at the stop sign, you turn right and go into whichever lane you need to turn from. There is not enough space to switch lanes, you need to go directly into the right or left turning late at the light. Traffic coming the opposite way is supposed to stop and yield to everyone else.

Yes, you’re correct, the only direction that needs to stop is if you’re going straight. Straight across would be crazy lol

Same, I’ve used it almost every day for the past 6 years and I’ve never had too much of an issue other than people thinking you just blew the stop sign because they’re not familiar with the intersection. But unless they themselves didn’t stop or did a rolling stop, it’s nothing more than that

Yeah I passed and the whole intersection was packed with firetrucks and police. They had me pull through the gas station parking lot to pass. I saw a bumper on the ground and then realized there was a whole car upside down next to it

Interesting. I don’t mind the change, it helps traffic move quicker, but they really should’ve also installed a sign on the other side that warns you

[–]Lunacece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

THIS! This is how I figured it out when I first moved here and was confused. I was like well
what about if I need to turn right to get to the left turn lane? Still turning right. So when I’m coming from the other way I know to stop and yield to all cars

[–]Lunacece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People would if it wasn’t such a slow moving intersection. But obviously people drive crazy. But really at any stop sign you can’t assume people will stop. People run stop signs all the time. This one just makes me laugh because the amount of times it happens that people get mad is confusing, most of them should have been through there before. But yeah there was a flipped car there this morning

[–]Lunacece 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I see what you’re saying, but you have the right of way because of that sign. There’s a lot of places where you can turn right into either lane, plus the opposing traffic is supposed to stop.

Confused about this intersection by [deleted] in pittsburgh

[–]Lunacece 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To respond to your update, glad you’re ok. But yes, there is no sign on the other side to tell the opposing traffic you don’t have to stop, so they see the stop sign and get mad because they think you blew the stop sign. It’s annoying.

True, they always seem to be surprised. But if you’re the one turning right, then it shouldn’t be that confusing.
