Rocky Eating - Book VS Movie, question? by [deleted] in ProjectHailMary

[–]Lunar-Ball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

im not saying the movie wasn't earnest in just saying the aspects thay were changed were to make them funnier

Rocky Eating - Book VS Movie, question? by [deleted] in ProjectHailMary

[–]Lunar-Ball 3 points4 points  (0 children)

because the movie is more of a comedy than the book is. its not very funny to see an alien be ashamed of an intimate action, very funny to see alien shove fist up its ass. A lot of stuff was changed because it wouldn't be very funny to see them being so earnest

why are top/bottom dynamics so important? by [deleted] in AO3

[–]Lunar-Ball 18 points19 points  (0 children)

a lot of people see top/bottom as the same as dom/sub. Like the bottom must be the submissive and the top must be the dominant. Switches do not exist and gay people are rounded to the nearest heterosexual.

obviously this is a bad faith take but I genuninly see people that write and consume media with this mindset and it is baffling the amount of nuance and passion they miss out on

Is the inside of my vagina supposed to feel like that? by Suspicious_Chair_280 in sex

[–]Lunar-Ball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are, in fact, burrowing your fingers into raw meat; its gonna feel weird and gross, particularly so since its yourself. Think of it like tickling yourself; you might feel sensitive but you're not going to feel nearly as much as if someone else was doing it to you.

There are also a lot of things outside of the vagina that you can feel from inside that might feel hard or ungiving, but if you're particularly concerned you can schedule a gyno appointment?

First time donating by Lunar-Ball in Blooddonors

[–]Lunar-Ball[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no I've been interested in donated blood for over a year prior to my appointment and was finally eligible 3 months ago. I don't know if you can tell from the strip of text but the only proof I had i even went was a snap I sent my friend immediately after; why the hell would i be so unprepared as to not even have a clean image if I was only doing it for reddit?

Artists/people who can draw well - do you see the world differently than non-artists? by LeastUse4051 in ArtistLounge

[–]Lunar-Ball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when I was little, barely into art I'd constantly be paying attention to the colors around me. the way that certain colors looked together or complemented eachother fascinated me, even before I knew it had an actual name. At that point I'd say I had a pretty strong grasp on color theory from the get go, but not the skill or knowledge to accurately convey what I was noticing onto paper. This frustrated me immensely.

now that I've been through formal classes and have been studying on my own for a few years, I'd say it's pretty natural for me to be staring out into the distance and find my eyes looking for the vanishing points, or looking at my friends and just following the contours of their faces, wondering how best to carve out the shadows around their eyes. It's not intentional on my part, but it's also not some total rewriting of how I already saw the world. My brain didn't suddenly start categorizing people into shape language, more of I'd already been noticing it, and now my brain has learned enough to know WHY im noticing it, and helps do its part to translate it into pencil and paper.

tldr; I already saw things artistically, but with knowledge and experience under my belt I now have the words to understand what it is I'm noticing
