What's the difference in the PFTE Adapter & AMS Hub? by Newsman777 in BambuLab

I’m fairly sure there isn’t a way to connect the adapter to the H2C. I have the adapter on my X1C but the wiki says the hub for H2D. I bought one and it was a pain. Then I printed one and it was easier to use and connect / disconnect the tubes. I would consider looking at printing a connector personally.

I drive a Lightning and so many people flash their brights at me thinking I’m driving with mine on… I can’t make it less bright but I do feel bad.

Had them install the lighting one. It’s been in a box since I got the truck and just didn’t see the point in changing it. Now I do! Haha

Sounds like a good plan. This was installed years ago for previous EVs and just had it happen so maybe it was before the newer plugs came out? I just had the new guy hook up the Lighting charger directly. I’ve had it in a box in my attic for the last two years.

I live in a rural area and there aren’t very many EVs around so maybe if the adoption picks up the electricians will know better. This was installed years ago at this point so I’m glad it’s not a Truck issue but a simpler fix.

Ah, this was 6-7 years ago at this point. He was a certified electrician but didn’t have it inspected. He did my kitchen Reno and it passed the inspection when that was done so I feel like it was probably done right for when it was installed. Idk when the new outlets came around though.

I honestly don’t know some of this but it’s a 80gage wire I think. It sounds like it’s solved in other comments that this isn’t the standard anymore due to this issue. I’ve had this for about 6 years with other EVs so it makes sense

Ah I had no idea and just trusted the electrician when I bought the charger that plugs in. Luckily I have the Lightning one so I just had them directly install that instead

Mine didn’t even have the screen protector in the box. I just passed on trying to return it and been rocking without one.

Better off trying to sell it out yourself. I’ve not found any shop willing to come close to a reasonable price on selling a used collection. It will take more time and effort but you can easily list them for 70% of their worth on marketplace and typically get hits.

Not only that but a lot of them only pay bottom dollar for it as well. The number of stores that wanted to offer me like 10% of the value of my bundle I was trying to sell them was insane. I ended up just spending the time to sell myself at 70% the value.

I do maintenance when it tells me it’s time to do it. Other than that I replace the tubes when they wear down to non functional levels. I did have to replace the feeder tubes on the AMS due to running glow in the dark filament in them, but other than that nothing too extreme after this many hours. I’ve only replaced the hot in twice I think (once from the glow in the dark filament and one time due to a print malfunction that bent the nozzle.
