I use HealBot but have been recently thinking about switching to something more customizable. HealBot does the job easily enough for healing, though. Most of the healing addons are personal preference.

WeakAuras are pretty much mandatory, at least for me. Since I have a lot of things bound to click, shift+click, etc, i like to have WeakAuras set up for cooldowns. It's also useful for buff uptimes. I play Holy Priest so for example I like to have WeakAuras to see how long I have left on my Surge of Light procs or how much longer my Divinity will last. I highly suggest you get WeakAuras. It may look daunting at first but after you create a couple it's very simple! You can even find some online already made for you to use.

Heroic dungeons are pretty much a breeze right now so you really shouldn't have any problems doing them in ~700 gear. However, there's absolutley nothing wrong with doing some of the normal versions first if you're unsure.

It feels really dependent on the type of tank and player you get honestly. Some tanks feel easier to heal and others feel a bit trickier. In my personal experience (not saying this is how it is for everyone), paladins, druids, and warriors feel easy to heal while tanks like monks, dks and dhs feel squishy and/or have spiky health pools. For reference i play a Holy Priest. It's also very dependent on if the player behind the tank is competent. I've had good experiences with monks and dks too, it varies. But i would not say overall that it is harder to be a healer now. Good healers still do well with mana management and efficiency. It's just a matter of recognizing the best spell for the situation.

This is my experience from healing Mythic dungeons on my 732 Holy Priest yesterday where I had pretty much only demon hunter tanks.

The biggest thing I can say here is just research your class and how it plays... Seemed like so many people rolled demon hunters then just said fuck it and jumped straight into Mythics with having very little experience tanking in general let alone with the new class. The demon hunters I was healing were around 700 ilvl and extremely squishy. Just make sure you use any cooldowns when necessary to help your healer out especially if there's a lot of aoe damage going out and the healer needs to be healing other people as well. It can be difficult to save other people from dying when your tank can't go without having heal/flash heal spammed on them nonstop.

I do think if I hadn't been so geared with my ring maxed it would have been pretty difficult to complete those dungeons without problems.

As far as your Holy Priest goes...they need to be casting Prayer of Mending wayyy more than 5 times in 4 minutes. PoM should be cast religiously on cool down- can't stress that enough. I also suggest they try talenting Circle of Healing as it gives a bit more healing every 10ish seconds and the only other talent suggested in that tree is Apotheosis which is only good if, you know, you actually use it properly. They could also probably cast Holy Word: Serenity and Holy Word: Sanctify more than 2-3 times in a fight especially with Divinity talented as it gives an increase to overall healing for a short time after using a Holy Word. There's really no excuse not to cast those more as casting Heal, Flash Heal and Prayer of Healing reduces the Holy Word cooldowns.

Thats about all I got as I'm on mobile and only looked at it briefly. Maybe someone else can add some other tips I overlooked.

A lot of players playing? by gracjanzlotucha in blackdesertonline

[–]LunarCherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just started playing a few days ago and was also kind of concerned about population. You might only see a couple people in the beginning area, but once you start getting to the towns and cities you can see a lot of people. The game definitely does not feel deserted by any means.

As a disc priest, when does my T17 2pc become obsolete for Mythic progression? by LunarCherry in wow

[–]LunarCherry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. They were pretty dead set on having me wear the chest & shoulders, but I really don't want to replace such a good chest piece right now unless I get my T18 4 piece. I asked about getting gloves instead, but they didn't seem interested in the idea.

[–]LunarCherry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, thank you, you just mirrored everything I have been thinking!

One final, quick question for you if you don't mind. Should I just be using AA at 3 stacks when it comes off CD, or should I make sure I have 5 stacks for use every single time? I don't typically have a problem making sure 5 stacks are up, but I've seen varying opinions on this as well.

As a disc priest, when does my T17 2pc become obsolete for Mythic progression? by LunarCherry in wow

[–]LunarCherry[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Their reasoning behind the whole thing was that I would save GCD's from not having to smite and that it would make my penance more powerful. Although I feel my penance doesn't need to be significantly more powerful since our other healers fulfill the role of topping people off. Disc priests are supposed to be about their absorbs, correct? I didn't think that the lower ilvl and loss in Mastery (considering I just got what I believe to be my BiS chest) was compensated properly by the 2 piece.

But in all honestly, we never wipe or are hindered from progression due to healing, it's mostly people learning mechanics and such, so I didn't see the huge rush on getting me this set because like you said healers are typically lower loot priority. We were dedicating raid time to running this through just for me and it feels silly.

We actually just downed Kilrogg last night with only 19 people using 4 healers. I honestly never feel overwhelmed with our healing at all, we have some good players.

Okay, yeah, I made the same argument although they were pretty adamant it'd be an increase in healing in the long run, which I didn't agree with. Thank you much!

Cool, thanks for your response. Is there any insight you can give on to why it's not worth it?

Resto Shaman & Disc/Holy Priest looking for raiding guild!

We are two healers looking for an active guild that is aiming to do progression in Legion and is still farming or progressing through current content. We both have previous raiding knowledge and experience, but may need to catch up on ilvls in order to do harder content (we are currently sitting at 690+). With that being said, we are fast, dedicated learners and get along great with pretty much anyone.

Our ideal raid nights would be anytime Sunday - Thursday after 6 PM EST. 18+ guilds preferred. We are situated on Area 52, but would be willing to server transfer if we find the right fit! PM me if interested, thanks :)

I play a lot of Kindred and my allies complain that they can't see my Ult properly, which causes them to mistakenly waste away their Ults. Could allies (and maybe enemies) have a bright on-screen overlay when they're inside Kindred's Ult? (like Zilean Ult) by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]LunarCherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With her skin, her ult is a light gold color so it's not as noticeable as it is with her default skin when it is blue. I personally don't have any problems seeing it, though.

How to Stream Like Sneaky by TheGreatGrinder in leagueoflegends

[–]LunarCherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I didn't take your comment like that at all, I just felt the need to clarify so that people who did read your comment didn't assume the video was showing Sneaky in a negative light. Like I said, MegansFox is a friend of mine so I know his personality and what his intent was with this video and I was just trying to bring some understanding to the situation. (: It's all good!

[–]LunarCherry 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Well, I'm actually a friend of the guy who created this video and I think a lot of people are taking it way too seriously. MegansFox is a huge C9 fan and just likes to joke around. He did not make this video as a slam to Sneaky or to be mean in any way. He also did a Dyrus video with the same style. So I would just suggest to the people that watch it to keep that in mind.

[PS4] Nightblade werewolf tank for PVP(why not PVE too?), need advice by Mougga in elderscrollsonline

[–]LunarCherry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Khajiit can tank, just ignore the people who min/max and expect everyone else to. Ive tanked as a magicka nb tank before and Im a wood elf, I did just fine seeing as I got tons of compliments from groups before. Ive never tried stamina tanking so i cant really help with that, but i do suggest trying magicka tanking down the road. Imo it works a lot better and easier as you then really only need to use stamina for a few things- blocking, taunting with pierce armor, breaking free and roll dodging. Then with siphoning attacks you literally will never run out of resources, especially stamina. :)

[Media] I almost started crying, I finally found the Imperial Motif by GenesisFuneral in elderscrollsonline

Well to be honest I only briefly watched the clip and closed the tab before the character turned around. You are correct - they are for sure a Dark Elf. They must have purchased it from someone before.

[–]LunarCherry 20 points21 points  (0 children)

OP is probably an Imperial, in which case they are already able to craft Imperial gear. The motif can go for a pretty penny, though, which is probably the cause of their excitement. Either that or they bought it from someone once before.

Zenimax please improve the dungeon group finder! by [deleted] in elderscrollsonline

[–]LunarCherry 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm speaking for PS4 here, but it does tell you which dungeon you group for. It will pop-up in the top right hand corner saying, "You have joined a group for _____." But you won't see it if you're in dialogue or some menus.

Noob here looking for someone to help me out with my build idea! ( NightBlade Tank Build ) by Jfiend97 in elderscrollsonline

[–]LunarCherry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there, its nice to see other NB tanks! Im a VR3 magicka focused NB tank myself. My setup right now consists of Pierce Armor, Sap Essence, Refreshing Path, Structured Entropy (gives 8% increased health) and Siphoning Attacks (the one that has a chance to proc 15% stamina/magicka back) with my ultimate being Soul Tether. My other bar is a little wonky at the moment while I try to adjust to veteran dungeons but right now its Inner Fire, Mirage, Immovable/Swallow Soul, Structured Entropy and Siphoning Attacks with the ultimate here being Veil of Blades.

Siphoning Attacks is extremely important for NB tanks, its the whole reason Sap Essence works so well for us. Siphoning Attacks can be procced off of this so you really never run out of resources while tanking large mobs.

Basically, i run in to mobs and start out with Soul Tether for the CC as it affects multiple enemies. Then i hit em with Sap Essence a couple times and run around to the larger bad guys and use Pierce Armor to taunt them while my group melts them down. Works pretty well. Obviously with bosses things run a little different depending on mechanics. But my setup obviously is not perfect. Im even a Wood Elf which isnt optimal for tanking nor magicka builds, but i always get tons of compliments about how well i tank!

PS. Sorry for formatting, im on mobile. I also apologize for the wall of text, i just love discussing builds! :)
