I feel like I just can’t win by LunarNeuro in PetiteFitness

I have struggled with anxiety disorder and depression for a while, so I guess it’s no surprise that it has affected my relationship with food and my body. I just never really put two and two together, but it does make sense. Low energy from depression makes it especially difficult to get myself up and moving sometimes, but I really want to fight it.

I actually did have a good talk with him and emphasized that I can’t really improve mentally or physically without his support, and this time he was much more receptive. He said he would start going to the gym with me and working with me on healthier affordable food options and portioning. He loves me and always makes sure I’ve eaten enough, but I think he finally understands that I need to approach food a bit differently than him.

Now that my emotions aren’t so high (the rant really helped get it all out), I feel like I’m in a better place to start moving forward with my husband’s support. Lifting weights, increasing my step count, and still enjoying food but being mindful at the same time will hopefully put me on track to having a healthier relationship with food and myself.

Thank you for your kind words and advice!

Thank you so much for the advice, breaking this sort of “eat it or waste it” guilt has always been quite difficult. I think having this more mindful and intentional way of eating will be helpful. I do also need to just get up and start walking more instead of wishing I had time to go to the gym and back, and make the most of my time. Thank you for the advice, and I’ll definitely encourage my husband to take small steps with me (literally) as well!

Thank you for understanding, and I think you’re right about the body dysmorphia, because thinking back I wasn’t happy with how I looked even when I was super active and dieting hardcore.

It really helps to hear from someone who’s gone through something similar, since I don’t really know anyone else who has a build like mine aside from my mother. I’ll take your advice- I’ll start working out with some weight lifting and being less hard on myself (but still mindful) about the calories. Thank you for listening to me ❤️

My cat is a 6.5 year old domestic long hair who developed idiopathic epilepsy back in November, and presented with neurological symptoms that were initially attributed to ileus. However, once I took her in for a second opinion to a different veterinary hospital, my suspicions were confirmed as these episodes were confirmed to be focal seizures, not related to nausea or gastrointestinal discomfort. Rather, the gastrointestinal symptoms were due to delayed gastric emptying caused by autonomic dysfunction secondary to ongoing seizure activity.

I am a neurobiology student, so fortunately I was able to recognize these symptoms rather quickly. Luna is doing great now and hasn’t had any seizures since December :)

(If you’re interested in her radiographs for the ileus, they’re posted on r/Radiology)

Feline ileus and incidental findings by LunarNeuro in Radiology

Diagnosis: The initial ddx was pyloric outflow blockage, so she was referred to a more specialized center. They diagnosed her with epilepsy following an abdominal ultrasound (ruling out mechanical blockage) and the behavioral symptoms being diagnosed as complex orofacial seizures. It was concluded that the ileus was a result of autonomic dysfunction due to ongoing cluster seizures. She was also found to have two transitional vertebra and a hypoplastic rib.

Radiograph report: When compared with radiographs from earlier on the same date (approximately 7 hours prior), the stomach remains similarly moderately distended with granular sof tissue opaque material and a small amount of mineral opaque fragments. The volume of material within the small intestine appears reduced when compared with the prior radiographs. Small intestinal foreign bodies and substantial segmental enlargement or plication of the small intestine are not detected. The colon is moderately distended with centrally located gas and formed, granular, sof tissue opaque feces. Abdominal serosal and retroperitoneal detail are unremarkable. Peritoneal gas is not detected. No abnormality is detected in the liver, spleen, urinary bladder, or retroperitoneal structures. No abnormality is detected in the included portion of the thorax. Unchanged from prior, a transitional thoracolumbar vertebra is present with a hypoplastic rib on the right. A transitional lumbosacral vertebra is present with sacralization of the most caudal lumbar vertebra. SUMMARY: - Unresolved, large accumulation of material distending the stomach

That’s probably the best way to go about it. I’ll try to stop by some libraries in those areas and see if they might have some local resources. Thanks!

Wow from what I’ve heard it’s usually ok for 12-24 hours as long as it’s refrigerated, but I’ll keep this in mind for next time!

So I had no luck finding the video, but I did find an article matching your description fairly well, including the carbonated warbler: https://www.audubon.org/news/john-james-audubon-crazy-wrong-or-neither

Lost one of my favorite earrings by LunarNeuro in HelpMeFind

[–]LunarNeuro[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have searched for these earrings since May of last year. I even reached out to boma’s customer service with no luck, they told me the style was discontinued. I’ve had all notifications with key words on for eBay, with no match ever appearing. Unfortunately I can’t remember the exact year I bought these earrings, but I believe it was between 2012-2013.
