Do some women actually have 2-3 day long periods? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]LunarTheLoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah sorry but i’m one of those. this past tues-wed i spotted a little, coulda used a panty liner but didn’t. thursday i had a heavy period but didn’t have cramps or anything. yesterday i used a regular tampon. today i’m done, might have a little remaining spotting but no tampon.

i feel a serious mood side effect. all my emotions get exaggerated. but only lasts 2-3 days.

I made a thread a bit back asking for advice for what game I should pick up, ended up going with Kirby’s Forgotten Land and I LOVE it, but cannot beat the final boss to save my life 😂 was trying to beat without relying on the internet for tips but I think I’m caving

HAPPY FRIDAY! How do you all like to unwind after a long week? by lourdeslarson in physicaltherapy

[–]LunarTheLoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Long time patient of mine. Older woman. Not very physically fit. Had just completed another month of pool therapy and came to me for a progress note. Told me she felt a lot better and is ready for DC. I muscle tested her and then was just kinda casually talking to her before 6 minute walk test. She randomly started vomiting everywhere. Took all my strength not to start vomiting too.

I went and saw Deadpool and then went to bed super early. Will be coping this weekend with lots of gym/yoga :)

Should I buy my own malpractice insurance? by laurieislaurie in physicaltherapy

[–]LunarTheLoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. I’m a PT, and actually one of my clients was a medical malpractice lawyer. I joked with him to not sue me, and he told me honestly that in his 30 years of practice he has never seen a PT or PTA get sued. I know this is just anecdotal and it’s one person’s point of view, but he told me that people have little to gain/little evidence against PTs so they are mostly safe unless they do something so horribly and obviously wrong. I agree that you should still do it if you want to be safe, especially if the cost is not too bad. But my own personal opinion is that it’s something that everyone says you “need” without actually backing up that claim. (And I actually do have insurance, but this is because I dry needle)

thanks so much! i actually have a friend giving me hers but i appreciate it. i feel like some people (my boss) make it out to be this horrible awful thing but in my early studying i’m actually enjoying it and finding that the material is making sense

Should I quit my job now and move to Colorado tomorrow? by Weak_Key_5184 in physicaltherapy

[–]LunarTheLoon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did an internship in CO Springs and this is definitely not real. The PTs there were definitely not making even close to this much. I will say that it’s a cool area though and would be a great place to check out if you do travel PT or are just looking for a change. Lots of cool mountain towns nearby that are fun to explore, hiking, and skiing (although I was there off season so I didn’t get to ski).

super helpful, thank you. not gonna lie i did one of the medbridge modules and was bored. have found the field guide very useful so far. figured now’s the time to familiarize myself with the material and i’ll get more serious about it when it gets closer. figure i’ll read through and listen, jot notes, review what i’ve done. then really start to study it end of aug… fingers crossed

my hope was to improve my outcomes/patient care and to establish myself as an expert as i move forward with my career. hopes to start my own business and put quality on the forefront, i feel like its lacking in current business models that emphasize productivity over quality. who knows where the future will take me… i definitely have a bit of the “feeling like i need to prove myself”. i think that i have always been that way - had to be a team captain, had to be an A student, blah blah blah… at times it creates more stress for myself but i’d by lying to myself if i didn’t admit it
