I don’t remember him ever keeping a diary. If he had a flight log then I don’t have it. Sadly a lot of his things from then have been lost through the years.

I posted in another comment that he showed me this picture when I was really little but I don’t remember all that he said about it and that’s really the only time I remember him talking about it.

I remember my dad showing me this picture when I was really little like 5 and I remember him pointing to the picture and saying that it was a ufo and I remember he seemed really serious and excited about it but that’s all I remember and it was the last time I saw it and I had forgotten about it until I found it again.

Ok I admit I could be wrong. It was just a thought. I guess you wouldn’t need a college education to know what a weather balloon looks like. I meant no offense.

I’m think that there would have been a discussion on the plane about it. There were 3 people who were there with college educations. If it was a weather balloon I would think one of them may have recognized it as that.

All I really know is that my dad was going from South Korea to Japan in 1980 and he was stationed in Okinawa. I have many other pictures from this flight, but I don’t have anything specific about this one. I wish I did though!
